KIET University B.Tech Review By Vaibhav Mishra

Currently, I’m in the first year of my college. My overall experience in KIET till now has been decent. The campus size is small with about 18 acres. But the facilities provided here are quite satisfactory, whether it comes to the hostels, campus facilities, infrastructure, cleanliness etc. all are up to the mark. Talking about academics, like many other institutions the academic life is hectic starting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the evening. Co curricular and cultural activities are held often. Talking about the placement scenario, the record of the last two years was quite decent with maximum students getting placed in companies with high packages.

Some of the courses offered in this institution are B.Tech, MBA and B.Pharma etc. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech is that one must be a 12th pass out. As I am a B.Tech student, I can't say much about other courses. But if you are passionate about Engineering then I recommend you go for this institution.

Some faculties are very good in their respective domains. On the other hand, some are not that good, whether it comes to their teaching style or bonding with students. Their whole and sole purpose is that students should get good results in their subjects and none of the students should fail. Only a few teachers are strict regarding assignments and projects while some are not that serious. Overall, I would say that the faculty members of this college are good.

Yes, we have a well maintained placement cell known as CRPC inside the campus. This cell works for getting the students placed whether it comes to MBA or B.Tech. It really helps students get recruited in some of the well renowned companies in the industry.

Yes, proper residential facilities are provided in the institution. There are two boy’s hostels and three girl’s hostels. The facilities are quite fascinating when it comes to mess food, laundry facility and festive special food. The infrastructure of the entire college is well maintained including hostels. Hostellers are provided with various recreational activities like yoga, exercise and cultural programs. Overall, my hostel experience has been good. The hostel entry timing for girls is 8 p.m. and for boys it's open till late night.

The infrastructure is well maintained. The campus has many academic blocks, sports ground, cafeteria and cultural club blocks etc. There is a club named SAE KIET, it is run and maintained by the mechanical students who have represented our college at national level and have won many prizes. Regular cleaning is done inside the campus to maintain a green and clean environment inside the college.

The campus life is pretty good. There are various cultural and creative events which are held regularly. The biggest technical fest is called INNOTECH. In this fest the creative minds of our college make projects in different domains and a large exhibition is held where everyone can see their projects and appreciate. Various cultural activities are held in fests. The college has a mixed crowd as there are more than 1,500 students that come from all over India.
