Assam Engineering College – My Overview

Overall Rating
It is known as one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Assam. It has the best faculties and mentors to guide you throughout and it provides exposure to the students throughout the 4 years of the course. In this college the 4 years course will cost you very less and the return of investment is really good.
 

Academics Rating
The course is named as Bachelors of Technology and for enrollment in this particular institute one needs to clear the CEE entrance examination conducted by ASTU. For applying in this entrance examination one needs to pass 12th exam from their respective boards with an aggregate of 75%. Students having interest in technical field or any kind of engineering stuff can apply for this course. Cracking the CEE entrance examination one can get admission in the top engineering colleges of Assam.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are really good in this college with the best teaching experience. Most of the faculties have completed their education from abroad and the professors are really devoted to their work. They make sure that at the end of the course each and every student can fetch a decent job with their knowledge and skills learned. The faculty here encourages the students to take part in various extracurricular activities to boost their confidence and skills.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell in our institute. It guides and helps students in acquiring a job. Some eligible students are elected every year to look after the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, residential facilities are available in our institute. Our institute has a total of 8 boy’s hostel and 1 girl’s hostel. The single girl’s hostel consists of 3 buildings one of which is still under construction.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread across 400 acre of land. It somewhat has individual buildings for each branch. The girl’s hostel is very near the every building in the college. Each hostel has its own field and the college has a canteen with various food items. There is a market inside the college with all the necessary requirements.
 

Campus Rating
The Campus life in AEC is really good. There are roughly 22 clubs in AEC and each club has its own objectives. The Pyrokinesis is the annual fest of the college and it is continued for 4 days. Different programs are organised during this fest.

    My overall experience until now in Assam Engineering College is nice. It is an first engineering college of Northeast inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru ji. The faculty, the teaching quality is also nice and the placement of this college is also nice comparatively to the other engineering college of Assam other than IIT and NIT.     Assam Engineering College is one of the oldest Engineering college in the entire north east established in 1956 by Jawaharlal Nehru. The college is situated in Guwahati Jalukbari for which students choose AEC to gain some exposure.     My experience in AEC Guwahati is most of time good. With a green campus, the environment of campus is quite cool and calm. The faculty is also good. My experience is not short as I have been here only for 6 months. I chose this college over other state engineering college because it is the oldest Engineering college in northeast.
