Sophia Girls College, located in the heart of Ajmer, Rajasthan is one of the best and premium institute in the city. Just mere few minutes away from the bus stand and railway station, which makes the college quite accessible to the people of city and students coming from nearby places to study. This is a college which will bring out the best in you. The facilities, faculty, activities, curriculum provided by the college ensures you that during your time studying in this college, not only you have the best time, but that you also grows along time. Having being studied in this college during the session of 2012-2015 makes up for the best time of my life.

The academia provided by Sophia is no doubt the best in city. With so many courses to choose from with different specialisation, the college makes sure that the students are up to the mark and can match steps with the current world and its technology. The courses and the labs provided by the college are advanced and especially made by keeping the skills of students and the current world in mind.

The faculty of the college are well qualified, very knowledgeable, smart, kind and helpful. Students should be willing to learn and have an eagerness for the subject to be able to soak in all the wisdom given by the faculty and to be able to make use of such excellent faculty members. The teachers are also very friendly and understanding. Some teachers are little bit strict and like to follow rules but those are the teachers who have the best to offer. I really liked the teacher during my session.

The college does provide placements but it’s not available for all the courses. Some big companies like TCS do visit for students of BCA course. The average package ranges from 2.5 lacs per annum to 3.5 lacs per annum and because of the outstanding name of Sophia in the country, it is relatively easy to find a job. The college is now doing and trying to improve the placement cell of the college and conducts workshops at frequent intervals to train the students. The faculties are also trying very hard. I think in few years this problem will also be solved and Sophia college will also have an outstanding placement record.

Sophia also provides hostel facilities for its student. Hostel is located inside the campus which really saves the commute time for the students opting for hostel facility. My experience in Sophia hostel was very good. It felt like a home away from home. The hostel has a very caring homely environment. The warden is so sweet and caring and takes care of its resident like they are her own children. The hostel is also very safe. During every festival the hostel used to organise events for us. While it takes time to get used to the hostel food, it’s not too bad. I really think living in hostel really enhanced my whole experience of this college and made it much better than it could ever have been.

Despite the fact that the college is more than 70 years old, the buildings are well maintained and up to date. The campus is big enough to accommodate its students and still leaving behind plenty of open area for students so they can be feel fresh. The ventilation system is good considering the fact that it is an old college. The library is very good, and very well kept. The collection is in touch with current times and the books are maintained well. Even rare books from old publishers can be found in the library. The ground, the parking space and the food court are also maintained. I do think there may be need of building some new buildings in the coming future but overall the infrastructure is very good.

With my experience of this college, I can say this with confidence that this is one of the best college campuses in the city. The campus is very pretty with bougainvillea and other shrubs and herbs. The trees make us feel fresh in the middle of a city, which takes the cake. The campus is extremely clean. The washrooms are always clean. The staff is the politest. College organises so many activities to help the students grow and come out of their shell. The NSS is also a very big deal in college. The environment is also very pleasant which is perfect for studying.
