My College Experience in SSC

Overall Rating
SSC was always the top priority for me because of its image that it gives quality education and provides the environment every student deserves. My experience so far has been great. I thought I was inactive in my 1st two years because the only thing I would do was go to college and come straight back home. In my last year I started exploring and trust me it was a journey everyone should experience. You'll grow and learn from people and by your own mistakes. It was a great experience.
 

Academics Rating
Since I took admission during the old curriculum, I don't think whether it'll provide helpful information about the new curriculum. The course structure for us had every subject starting from the basics of Corporate Accounting, Taxation, Financial Reporting and many more.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are top-notch; you won't regret going to this college. You'll learn something even if you have missed a previous classes or anything. Our college's top priority is academics. There were some really great teachers, which either got transferred or transferred to different departments. But still every teacher has their own experience and knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
After COVID the placements were not that great as only the company, Deloitte used to come. In the starting of this year a placement cell has been established. Now, companies like PwC, KPMG and Deloitte visit the college for recruiting students.
 

Hostel Rating
No, this college doesn't have any residential facilities. You will have to opt for PGs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is not that big but it is decent. The campus is adjacent to the Shikshayatan School and has a common ground and auditorium. There is a 4-storey building and has a gym room, yoga room, library lab for practical classes and a canteen. There is also a separate library for the B.Ed. department.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life was average. Our batch had the strength of 700+ students. We have lots of clubs and societies like the Shikshayatan Entrepreneurship Society, dance society, sports society, debate society, consulting club, drama club and many more. We also have intra and inter competitions being held in our college. But as for fests, we haven't had one since the COVID hit.

    Shri Shikshayatan provides an environment filled with cooperation. The professors are always ready to help.     My college experience in Shri Shikshayatan College had been quite a rollercoaster throughout. First of all, the college has a number of choices to provide students with, so that they can choose whichever interests them the most.     Shri Shikshayatan College is a women's college where thousands of girls come to study every year. It is affiliated under the University of Calcutta. Being a girl's college, the environment is quite disciplined and safe. The infrastructure of the college is top-notch. Each and every room has AC. Classrooms are equipped with mic and projector.
