I did my B.Tech from DBGI Dehradun, which was an amazing experience of four years. I didn’t sit for placements, as I was hoping to land in the higher package than was expected from on-campus placements at DGBI. Therefore in my third year itself, I decided to do my master's in engineering from some other institute. I couldn’t think of a better place than ABES, Ghaziabad. The college had a good ranking among other private colleges. It has a clear-cut ranking of number one in AKTU ranking. The admission process for M.Tech, I am sure is not very hard. You just have to have at least 70% in your undergrad, which makes you an eligible person to take admission here. College management played an important yet very helping role throughout the admission process.
The reason why I joined the M.Tech course here, which I have already mentioned above, is to land in high-paying package. Moreover, the past records of this institute have given pretty good placements before. Also, the course is for just 2 years. Interestingly, there are multiple options available after B.Tech. Out of all one is that you can do a Ph.D. Going for the doctorates in engineering also becomes after undergrad in engineering, which is not the case in any other stream. Clearly, after master, there are numerous options and higher packages available if you’re willing to do the job.
There were around 7 subjects and sometimes 5 subjects each semester. There are dedicated separate professors for each subject. Moreover, all the faculty members are have done their studies from reputed institutes like IITs. Also, most every professor is having a doctorate against the subject that they are teaching. Moreover, teachers are very helpful throughout the degree programme in various aspects. I even sometimes took extra classes from several professors to ask doubts. Overall there are so many professors but sometimes you will see one professor taking two subjects, however, both the subjects will be somehow interconnected. I did computer science engineering from here, where there are all the subjects revolving mostly around a certain point.
Placements here are amazing when it comes to placements for masters; it even gets slightly better than the undergrad. You will see companies like Google, Amazon, Buyju's, and other tech giants plus tech-start-ups coming here for recruitment. If you’re in Computer Science engineering, you are in a safe zone of getting selected to at least 2-3 companies. Despite undergrad experience, there are still a few societies for you to join. These societies will also be helping you cracking a package in your placement rounds. The average package will be going to around 10 lakhs and the highest package will be easily 30+ LPA. Despite this, you will be preparing for your placements right from the first semester, and not just starting at the last semester.
Hostels are in good shape here due to multiple reasons. One, it is a private institute, which provides a modern hostel, and the other is located in the urban area. Also, a hostel will be affordable than buying a room for rent outside the college. Hostel facilities are also fine. Food is served to you 4 times a day. Food quality is amazing here, it is way better than what I got in my undergrad Hostel. There are both veg and non-veg included in the menu. You get to live alone in a single room which is a plus point in your hostel experience. Also, each morning the corridors are swept and sanitized properly.
You can easily co-relate the infrastructure with the standard college infrastructure. The building is modern and all the classes are equipped with smart labs and other features. There are large playgrounds, stadiums, and gyms for sports purposes. Also, there are various eating outs like cafeterias, small stalls, and canteen spread on the campus. A lot of time you’d like to spend time in one of there and study there, which is also an amazing experience.
There are numerous fests that take place in our college. There are cultural fests, sports fests, annual fests, and other related fests. Fests and other events provide a ground to meet and interact with a large number of people. Also, here are on-campus internship opportunities that will widen your learning experience and boost your growth. Besides, there are social events and celebrations which also serve as an amazing experience. You make so many friends and participate in a number of events, which not only widens your experience but will also help you learn so many different things in a short span of time.
I was a computer science student in DBGI Dehradun. I did my B.Tech from there. But due to several reasons, I decided to do my master's in engineering from ABES Ghaziabad. One reason is I want to move near a metropolitan city to get more exposure. As in Dehradun, there weren’t many companies to provide me such needs. The admission process is straightforward and the fees for the 2 years masters’ course are also affordable. It is a private college; therefore, you will not be facing many problem... Read Full Review
ABES Engineering College Ghaziabad is a perfect college for students who want to build their career as Engineers. After some hard time during the schooling, as getting admissions here required good numbers in JEE, I had huge expectations from the College. I completed by B.Tech (IT) in 2016 from ABESEC and will say that the College is quite cheaper than many other private colleges or universities. Many people have questioned the packages of B.Tech students here, but the College is more about lear... Read Full Review
Frankly speaking as a M.Tech student, I never thought I will have this much fun. My answer is based on what I expected and considering that with the amount of fun that I had there. Getting admissions here is quite tough as it is one of the best colleges that offer M.Tech in CSE. Students from across the country chase this college but one needs to be best to get here. A good score at GATE and then the interview process. It will give you the feel of an MBA but the only difference is that in interv... Read Full Review
ABES Engineering College is a top college for engineering in UP. Coming from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, I had huge expectations from this one. There’s no worry as the college was way better than what I thought. M.Tech (CSE) from ABES EC is relatively cheaper than other private colleges, and if we compare that with the ROI, it’s not even peanuts. The course had loopholes as the study was tough, and one has to be on song to pass the semester exams in one go. The passing per... Read Full Review

First of all, many people get confused between ABES IT and ABES EC. Both are different as ABESEC is old while ABESIT is new. The campuses are adjacent but both the colleges have their own campus. MCA is offered only by ABES Engineering College and is one of the best colleges for MCA. All the fundamentals regarding the course are cleared once you study at this college. There are many helpful activities for students done at the college. The activities include competitions, fest, and seminars all y... Read Full Review
