I have always known that I wanted to pursue the Integrated Program in Management so without a doubt IIFT Kakinada has always been one of my top choices. Kakinada, itself is not really a very big city, but it has everything a student needs. There are study centres, libraries and stationary shops close to the hostel, so you never have to go too far to get supplies or for a quiet place to study. The main campus is still under construction. For now, the temporary campus is inside the JNTU campus, which is huge. The classrooms have up-to-date technology and dedicated teachers, so the quality of education is high. IIFT has a strong academic culture. As a Science student, the curriculum suits me the best. Unlike other institutes, the five year integrated program here focuses on building authoritative and decision-making competencies among the students while providing education of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This unique blend aligns perfectly with my background and career goals, making IIFT the ideal choice for me. Networking is also a big part of the IIFT experience. There are various clubs and activities that give us a break from the everyday classes. It helps explore our individual interests and develop skills with like-minded groups. In conclusion, choosing IIFT Kakinada for IPM has been one of my best decisions. Despite being new and having some challenges, the institute provides an amazing experience with strong academics.

The eligibility requires one to have Math compulsorily as a subject in 11th and 12th as well as getting a good IPMAT score depending on that particular year's cut-offs. The BBA course structure is like no other as IIFT Kakinada focuses on integrating management education with STEM. The class hours can differ from 3 hours to 5 hours per day. One should also be ready to have back to back classes of the same subject around exams as some faculties aren’t permanent yet and come from different institutes. The course structure includes a lot of presentations; they may be group or individual presentations. The academic structure includes six subjects per semester and co- curricular activities generally for two credits till the last semester of BBA. There are six semesters having various subjects like Financial Accounting, English, Mathematics, Microsoft Excel Psychology, Introductory Statistics, Operation Research, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Indian and Global Economy, Consumer Behavior, etc. Electives are to be chosen from a variety of options ranging from AIML to Business, Law, Export-Import Management and many more. One of the best parts about IIFT Kakinada is the opportunity that it gives to its students, providing hands-on learning experiences that go way beyond their classrooms. Port-visits give us first hand exposure to logistics and supply chain management, providing practical insights into the fields. Industrial visits really allow us to see how businesses operate in real life, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The faculty here is truly outstanding. They are highly experienced and focus on the overall development of their students. They always encourage critical thinking, creativity and prepare us for the real world. They have previously worked in some of the best institutions of the nation like IITs, NITs, ISB, IIFT Delhi, etc. They focus on providing each student with the proper guidance they need. Our college keeps a small batch; it only takes a few students every year. The batch size is just big enough to make it possible for the professors to focus on the general growth of each and every student.

The placement committee in our college is quite notable. The team is constantly bringing new internship opportunities for students. They provide extensive support, from resume building to mock interviews; students become well prepared. The institute already has strong connections within the industry as the IIFT’s name is prominent and not nearly as new. They regularly organize guest lectures, workshops and seminars giving us the chance to learn and interact with leaders. These events are not only educational but also great for networking, helping us build connections for our future career opportunities.

The hostels are a unique experience. They have all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay and are the perfect place for students to create a community that builds and supports a strong network. Each floor has 8 rooms with 2 huge halls which can be used for recreational purposes, group studies or any other group events. Each room has their own attached washroom along with geysers for the cold days. Since Kakinada is quite a hot region to live in, ACs are available to all the students. There is also a common room on the first floor with a TV for the students when they want to take a break.

Since the actual campus is still under construction, classes currently take place is inside JNTU. The classrooms are quite spacious having a comfortable structure in such a way that it makes the whole interaction process between students and teachers a lot smoother and easier. There is also a library with a lot of interesting books. The centre head's office, admissions office and even the mess are very close to the classrooms.

Even with the temporary campus setup in the JNTU campus, the campus life is lively. The JNTU campus is quite big and well equipped with everything. There are many student clubs and organizations for different interests like debating, drama, consulting, economics finance, sports and so much more. We organize annual events like “Riqeza” and the cultural event “Abhivyakti”. The campus has a huge hall and a big open space. Some other events take place out of campus, for example during sports events the college books badminton courts, football fields, etc. as per the requirements of the students. The diversity at our college is enriching. Students not only come from all the different parts of India but the world, bringing various perspectives, cultures and ideas. This diversity creates a vibrant and inclusive campus where everyone feels welcomed. It truly helps us broaden our horizons and prepares us for the globalized world. The village immersion program helps us understand rural markets and the socio-economic challenges faced by the rural communities, fostering a sense of social responsibility.
