Honest College Review of Amity University, Lucknow

Overall Rating
Amity University, Lucknow was established in the year 2004; offering diverse undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. It is a nice campus with all the basic amenities that students require. Admission is based on the scores of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Although, the infrastructure is not up to the mark but the library is the best part of it.
 

Academics Rating
This university offers BA LLB (Hons.), a five years integrated program which is a combination of Law and Humanities. One can enroll in this after completing 12th standard. This course provides a blend of theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The university has designed the course in a very practical manner that allows students to equally focus on extracurricular activities.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at Amity University, Lucknow is very experienced, having strong academic backgrounds and industrial expertise. Most of the faculty members are very supportive, helpful and could be easily approached. In this campus experts from the industry come to deliver guest lectures from time to time. The teaching style of each faculty is different from that of another, so one might face a little problem there.
 

Placement Rating
This university has its own placement cell which could be improved. Although reputed companies do come and provide placements, but the ratio is low.
 

Hostel Rating
This university has its own hostel; separate for both boys and girls which are inside the campus only. The rooms are to be shared with other students; you don't have an option of attaining single rooms. The hostel life at Amity University, Lucknow is vibrant with various cultural, sports and recreational activities being organized time to time. The hostel rules are very strict and the mess food compared to other hostels is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are different academic blocks for every field such as Academic block (AB) 1 for Law, etc. The campus has sports and medical facilities. The best part is the library, which is opened from 9 a.m. till 8 p.m. and has almost every book available. The overall infrastructure is good but needs renovation. A canteen is also there, but needs to be improved.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is really happening. There are different clubs and sports which are actively working; one can become a part of them. The university organizes different fests at intervals but the most awaited is the 3 day fest, Amiphoria. Apart from this various moot courts and sports tournaments are held.

    As a University, the life here is amazing. My experience till now has been great. I met great people, great faculties that are always ready to help the students in any way. The study part is pretty serious and 75% attendance is mandatory but except for that the University is amazing.     Firstly, I came here as I was not eligible for taking admission in a government college. Also, it has a brand value which helps you in many places in life. It follows anti-ragging policy which makes it safer too and in Lucknow it provides the best ROI (Return of Investment). Also it has many branches which provide you opportunities to appear in the placements in different branches.
