All About NIT Delhi

Overall Rating
As I have completed my first year, my experience has been good. Normally, NIT Delhi starts at 9 a.m. in the morning and ends at 5 p.m. with each class being of 1 hour, from Monday to Friday except Wednesday. On Wednesday classes start at the same time but ends at 3:30 p.m., with each class being of 45 minutes and the rest of the time are given for extra curriculum activities. NIT Delhi is 100% ragging free. The seniors and faculties are very supportive. They organized many skill learning events from time to time.
 

Academics Rating
Academic wise, the courses are good, but the curriculum can be improved in some parts. As I have opted for the CSE branch, we are made to study some non-core subjects which are not relevant to the main core-subjects. I have opted for this branch as it highly in demand and has a great scope in the future.
 

Faculty Rating
All the facilities are good and supportive in nature. Some new faculties have come, having less experience in teaching but are still good and gradually their performance is getting better. They provide project ideas and also guide us in completing them. All the faculties are Ph.D. graduates and most of them have passed out from NITs, IITs or IITs.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are good and very impressive at NIT Delhi. For the CSE branch the average salary package ranges from 18-19 LPA. Some new companies have started visiting the institute for recruiting students. Overall, the placement index is great.
 

Hostel Rating
NIT Delhi has both kinds of rooms, AC or non AC. Students can chose according to their choice. The campus is under construction as some new hostels are being built. The first year students get rooms in the hostels, Nilerd and SRHC which are at a distance from the college. They provide bus facilities for transport. The rest of the students and girls stay in the college campus. Every Sunday the rooms are cleaned. Any type of electronic objects like cattle, iron, conduction, etc. is not allowed in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Currently NIT Delhi has one admin block, mechanical block and a mini campus. The academy block has fully centralized ACs. You will always find the academy building neat and clean. Our classes are held in the mini campus lecture theatre as well as the admin block building. Some buildings are under-construction and will be finished in the upcoming years.
 

Campus Rating
As we have heard about campus life of NITs, the time spent in the campus will be memorable. Different clubs organize different activities regularly, for you to show your talent. The sports club organises sports activities for 5 to 6 days, while the robotic club organises a robot race. Nit Delhi is less crowded as compared to other NITs, which is a great advantage. Every Wednesday they organize motivational and future guidance talks for the students.

  • State-of-the-Art Classrooms and Sports Facilities at NIT Delhi

    I got 99.3 percentile in JEE Main the main reason I choose Delhi is that there will be a lot of exposure to industries and you will not have any transportation problem (mentioning this as I am from Andhra Pradesh).     NIT Delhi is a premier engineering institute known for its meticulous academics. It has good faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Although the campus is relatively small compared to older NITs, it provides a conducive learning environment with good industry links. Placement opportunities are improving.     First of all, the location of the institute is an absolute wonder. We all love the natural beauty and its denseness on campus. The campus is relatively cleaner than the main city. The classrooms are maintained according to the standard. The vegetarian mess has a good taste. The busy schedule will be relieved in the evening with the friends.     As everybody knows about a National institute, I also worked hard and cracked JEE Mains exam to get the institute. NIT Delhi is really a great institute in true meaning. I choose it because of the placements and infrastructure of the institute. Here we are provided best facilities with a great knowledge given by our faculties.
