National University of Study and Research in Law is one of the evolving National Law Universities located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It was established under a legislative act, by state of Jharkhand (2010). It is the 14th National Law University established in India. Different courses are offered by the university such as UG Programs like five years integrated B.A.LL.B (Hons.) through CLAT UG, and PG programs like one year LL.M. and two year Ph.D programs for which admission is through CLAT PG. Talking about the Administrative branch of this university, they are very humble and supportive. Majority of them try to assist the students who are willing to put efforts in academics. Not only academics but also University has number of centers working continuously for enhancing the legal skills that will definitely help students in fostering their legal voyage. NUSRL has significantly increased its rank among National Law Universities and getting a Vice Chancellor whose roots belongs NLSIU has added cherry on the cake. Therefore, this adds very optimistic picture for the future of this NLU located in Jharkhand.

National University of Study and Research in Law offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses and all the admissions are strictly based on the marks and rank that has been obtained by the student in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) UG and PG. For Undergraduate Program, University offers five years integrated B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), that has a course curriculum of Arts and Humanities intertwined with subjects of Law and therefore subtracting one extra year if done individually. For Postgraduate programs, University not only offers one year LL.M but also 2 year Ph.D making it a complete hub of legal scholars and will definitely provide the great exposure as university will not only accommodate students who just stepped out of their schools but also students who might be going for Litigation, Corporate or Judiciary line and are in their final years. This boosts the legal knowledge and helps in building connections from college itself. The University has extensive library which has books on almost all the law subjects and social science too. The library has also acquired subscription to various online databases such as Manupatra, SCC online, JSTOR and many more. Seniors and faculties are always ready to help the students and are very supportive in terms of academics especially, making a very conducive environment for overall growth.

NUSRL boasts a distinguished faculty of experienced and highly qualified professionals who are leader in their respective fields. The faculties are committed to delivering a comprehensive educational experience, including high quality instructions such as providing materials and references which help in understanding the concept with more clarity, engaging educational activities such as seminars, group discussion, presentation and guest lecture from esteemed scholars and legal practitioners. Although the current offerings provide strong foundation, there lies an opportunity to further enhance the student’s experience by fostering increased student faculty interaction and also mentorship programs and looking at this the new VC has already put emphasis on mentorship programs by esteemed faculties.
