My overall experience in the college is really nice. As I wanted to pursue Bachelor of Commerce, so this is the best college in tricity for B.Com course. Because SD College is recognised as the best college for commerce and it’s also true. Students who want to take commerce and also other students should take admission there because SD College gives you the best environment to study and also for extracurricular activities.

A lot of courses are available in the college like B.Com, BA, BBA, B.Sc and many more. As SD College comes under Panjab University, a form is filled where you have to give preference to SD College to get listed here. If you want to take admission in B.Com or BBA, then you must have scored 90%+ in 12th class then the chances of getting enrolled in SD College gets higher. B.Com course is for banking and accountant and also you can do other competitive exam’s preparation after this, like CA which is really a great career option.

Most of the teachers of college are really great in behavior and teaching. All the teachers are highly educated and most of the teachers are experienced. And they really know very well that how to teach a student in a best way. Most of the teachers are Ph.D holders in the college which is really a great thing.

Yes there is a placement cell in this college. A lot of students get placement. Number of companies like Deloitte, ICICI Bank, etc. visits the college to recruit students and also the packages offered by the companies are good. They offer average 3-4 lakh per annum of package which is good to start a carrier.

Yes there are two hostels in the college one is for boys and the other one is for girls. Some of my friends used to stay in the hostel and they tell that everything is well managed in the hostels and the hostels are properly maintained. They get food facility in the hostel and also the food is very good. Also there is gym facility given to hostel students. Infrastructure of hostel is really maintained like home.

Overall infrastructure is above average because the campus is not that big in area but all of the area is really well-maintained and managed which makes the infrastructure best for study and extracurricular activities too. All of the academic blocks are really clean. Time to time maintenance of building is done and daily college is cleaned by workers.

Overall life at the campus is really amazing because the way it is made it covers all the things like place to study, place to eat and an auditorium is also there. The crowd of the college is really very sensible. Also there are so many clubs in the college like CnM club, Enactus Club, Rotaract Club, Sarvsaksham, MUN Club, Financial literacy club, etc. All of these clubs play a vital role in grooming a student. Also these clubs organise fests like Riwayat, Panache and Virasat. These fests allows the students to participate in modeling, dancing, singing, beat boxing, anchoring, acting, etc. So the life at campus is really the best for improving overall personality of a student.
