GGDSD College Chandigarh Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Inside the campus, around 2 GGDSD Chandigarh hostels are available which can accommodate more than 530 girls & boys. Rooms at the hostels of the GGDSD College Chandigarh are available with AC & Non-AC facilities and fully furnished with bed, study table, almirahs, and others.

Students get the accommodation amenities on a first-come-first-serve basis. The GGDSD College hostel fees range from Rs. 1,23,900/- to Rs. 1,57,500/- for an academic year (including security, mess, and other charges).

While applying for admission in the College, interested students who want to seek hostel facilities are required to fill an online form by paying the application fees (which is non-refundable). Also, students should know that the accommodation charges depend on the gender and room type.

Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College Hostel Students Committee has specified several rules & regulations for the students in terms of discipline, outings, etc. All the specified rules need to be followed to live at the hostels without any issues; some of these are as follows:

• Every hosteller should be in their room from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM otherwise strict actions will be taken by the designated authorities.
• Girls students are required to be back at the hostel by 7:00 PM. Also, the gate closing time for boy’s hostel is 9:30 PM.
• Residents who are leaving the hostel at night are required to make an entry in the Night Out register.
• Lights, fans, cooler, and other electrical appliances need to be switched off before leaving the allotted room.
• Hostellers are strictly prohibited to not change their room without having prior permission from the wardens.
• Act of disturbances like shouting, screaming, playing loud music, knocking, etc. are not tolerated at the hostel premises.
• Responsibility of students' personal belongings are their own, the authority is not responsible for the same.

Accommodation facilities are offered to the students through the 2 hostels available inside the GGDSD Chandigarh Campus for male & female, separately. The boy’s hostel has seats for more than 250 students. On the other hand, the girl’s hostel can accommodate 280+ students.

To ensure that every student is feeling safe at the hostels, facilities like CCTV surveillance and security personnel are available. Also, wardens are available at each hostel and students can directly connect with them to solve their issues.

The GGDSD Chandigarh hostel rooms are spacious and designed with adequate living facilities for the students like bed, study table, chair, almirahs, and others. Also, students can get the rooms with AC & Non-AC facilities, as per their preferences & suitability.

At the hostels, with the excellent ambience, a recreation hall with indoor games facilities for Table Tennis, Carom, and Chess are available. For offering medical assistance to the students, qualified doctors are visited and ambulance service is available which is used in emergencies.

Along with the mess, a ‘Nescafe’ outlet, Fruit & Juice Shop, and Coffee, Tea & Snacks Shop are available inside the campus.

Also, there are certain mess rules which need to be followed by the students:

• Food will be served to the students on the specified timings so every student should follow that.
• Students cannot carry their meals and kitchen utensils to their allotted room except in some exceptional cases.
