VIT Bhopal CSE branch is crowded

This university is pretty decent. It doesn’t have much of a college life if you are a hosteller but its pretty fun to be here with other students. We have 2 canteens here, which at first you will like it but when it becomes the only option for food you will dislike it. The university is still under construction but it is happening pretty fast. The curriculum is good. Some teachers are great while others are not. Try not to skip your FFCS (fully flexible credit system).

My course is B.Tech Computer Science in the specialization of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This branch is really crowed, every other person here is of the AI branch. To get enrolled you need to give the VIT entrance exam and on the basis of your rank you will get a college. Through this exam you can get into the colleges of these places; Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal. As the category goes higher, the fees will also get higher. As per my category, my fee was Rs. 2,00,000. I took this course as there is a large boom of AI nowadays and I’m aspiring to be a machine learning engineer. With the help of some teachers I know I can crack it.

Personally, I like the FFCS system as it gives me freedom to design my time table however I want. If I get a good slot I get to choose my teachers according to my needs and timings, so it’s very useful. The teachers are good if you are good to them. They know their subject pretty well. You do not need to study very much, just enough to maintain above average marks and you will get above 8-8.5 CGPA. The teachers are not partial if you don't piss them off. Otherwise, everything is good.

I don't know much about it.

I live in the girl’s hostel 1. The food is good for a few weeks, but sometimes it gets pretty tasteless so aachar and ghee is a must. The warden is pretty strict.

It is still under construction so I can't fully say anything right now. But once all done it will be very pretty for sure. The academic block is decent. There are two canteens and one stationary shop in the academic block. Opposite to the canteens there is a general store which has all the expensive things you like.

The campus life is also decent. But the clubs here are very active, both technical and non technical. All the events are to be paid for, but I think it is worth the money. Many workshops and competitions take place. This university also promotes hackathons and informs us about it through mail. Advitya, the 3-day university fest is amazing. You will love those 3 days. The crowd, food, drinks and the invited celebrity singer make it all pretty awesome.
