Gauhati University is the best university in the North-Eastern states. It has a reputation for its academic excellence and fame as it was established just after India’s independence. As per my experience the campus is commendable. The campus provides the best minds with knowledge and skills. It has always been the first university that comes in my mind. My course provides a deep explanation of topics to captivate a student mindset towards their best possible career growth. Every student should take a look towards Gauhati University as its faculty members, campus environment and social interaction between students and teachers is commendable.

As a law student of Gauhati University, the course has a diverse impact on various topics from the first semester to the final semester. The faculty members explain each topic thoroughly and a try to update us with the happenings of the practical and real world i.e. through seminar. For enrollment students have to go through the university’s website and overview the particular topic of interest with the mentioned eligibility. For admission in the 5 year course of BA.LL.B, students have to go through the entrance exam followed by the merit list and then the actual admission process takes place.

The faculty members are cooperative and influential in nature. Teaching faculty of this university is moderate to best. They provide students information about internships and give career tips. Their teaching methods and techniques are commendable. The faculty members have high qualifications like masters and Ph.Ds. The experts teach us various research techniques. Overall, they have a positive mindset.

As of law students, we don't have placements but the management or technical courses are available for placements. Companies such as HDFC, Paytm, IDBI, etc. come for recruiting students.

Yes, Gauhati University has hostel facilities as well as foreign hostel or residential facilities. The hostel life is always appreciated by our teachers and seniors. The life of hostellers is full of fun and knowledge as diverse minds are present here. The infrastructure and facilities are updated on time by the hostel authorities. Any pending construction work to be done is completed punctually. The facilities are good. An advantage is always attached to the hostellers in terms of university functions.

The campus is full of natural beauty. The trees, plants and small ponds make the environment so peaceful. There are Academic blocks and an Administrative block. Many amenities are provided to the students. Overall, the infrastructure plays a great role in providing academic excellence.

According to me, the campus life is overwhelming. The environment, social interaction between the students, skills developed by seminars, programs and awareness programs make the student’s life diverse. This university has its own persona of moral behavior that is followed by every individual from the security guard to the students. Cultural functions like DJ nights and academic excellence programs are commendable. These engage the students in various activities.
