ABBS was good in few things but bad at most of the points. After a huge disaster in my engineering college, I joined ABBS as the pedigree is one of the biggest in the city. When you tell someone, you have studied at Acharya Jain they are like oh my word. However, only you know the reality that all these institutes have become a money minting machines. I was saddened because the education system when I checked it with other MBA colleges it was quite different. Placements were also poor but this time I made sure I have campus placement and I finally had it. Even though it’s a start-up but soon everyone will know this name. GD & PI were taken for formality as the admissions were provided on first cum first serve basis.

Every week we have to wear suits and get ready for an industrial tour. Morning to evening we spent at some industry or some IT head offices and that was a part of our study. I was ok with it but if it happens every week, you tend to get frustrated because first you to come to college and then college bus will take you there. We didn’t had the option to reach directly as all students have to go in queue just like a school trip. Lectures were done to crack jokes and talk about everything but the syllabus. Since it’s an autonomous college, we knew what questions will come in exams and we were prepared for that by our teachers itself. If this is how management teaching is done then I am sorry.

They didn’t care a bit in the world as they were there just to know the students well. They knew each and every student in and out because that is what they did. They will always become Main Hoon Na of Shah Rukh Khan because they took care of everything. From our marks to internal submission to off campus placements. They were supportive no doubt but at least they should complete the syllabus and rather than giving us life lessons also teach us something from the books. If you think that is how MBA is done then at ABBS they have different ideas. I have reservations against such style and I am sure most of the students too must be having that.

Name any company and management will say yes, they will be coming to see you. Trust me only 5-6 trusted names were there and rest all were start-up who wanted an MBA in their ranks. The salary offered by such start-ups was 5-6 LPA. Only 15-20 percent had on campus placement while some were helped by faculty to have off-campus placements. Most of them were crying as they all had hopes of working in a corporate but ABBS have much better ideas for them. Most of them from business backgrounds so they were taught on how they can help their family grow their business. Placement scene was weird as not all had luxuries of getting any sort of jobs.

It was beautiful and mind you it is one of the best I have seen. I asked quite a few of them and they said the rooms are as good as hotel rooms and even the food served is awesome. From morning breakfast to dinner, they would have variety all week round. One of the hostellers was my close friend and he would always deny going out as he said he enjoyed hostel food more than he of any eateries nearby. This itself is a proof that hostel was worth the money. The girls’ hostel was outside the campus and it was handed to private hands and they had other ideas about their hostel which was not at the campus.

College was located in a remote location but it was a sight to watch. It was not just beautiful but picturesque as well. It looked like a corporate building within a deserted island. The buildings were thoroughly maintained and had drinking water, coffee machines, and wash rooms on each floor. The canteen was superb but was quite compact. UG students have made it their den and PG students have to make friends with them to get their order on time. Indoor sporting facilities were superb and one can have a piece of that as long as they want. Overall, it was the infrastructure that was quite satisfactory.

We were given assignments after every industrial visit which I copied from others and was still praised. This means they were never checked or else it would have never happened. Making friends, having fun, and playing games is all that we did at the campus because studies were secondary over here. One can take a break whenever they want and management and faculty were cool about it. Thus, if you want to have fun, ABBS is the perfect place for you.
