Indian Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Yug Prabhat

IIT Indore is one of the best institutions of India. It is well known for its beautiful and futuristic infrastructure. Apart from infrastructure, academics of the institute are also best. The institute follows the curriculum of IIT Bombay as it is mentored by IIT Bombay. According to my rank, I was getting core branches in 2nd generation IITs, so I decided to choose IIT Indore because of its campus life and placements. At the end I want to say that it is one of the best 2nd generations IIT.

Academic is good off course, because of reputation of the institute. It provides almost every famous course of engineering. However, it is the only branch of IIT which provides the Space Science and Technology branch for students who want to make their career in Space Science. For taking admission in this prestigious institute, you have to clear one of the toughest exams of India which is JEE Advanced. I was getting core branches. I decided to take Civil because in this course I can go in tech by learning coding. If I couldn't find my interest in coding, I have option to go in government jobs.

Faculty members are very supportive and friendly. They not only focus on academics but also over the mental health of students. The counseling cell is always there to support students with any kind of problem and take care of their mental health. Almost all the professors are well qualified and have done Ph.D from a reputed institute. Their teaching style is also good.

Placements services of my college are quite good and most importantly it is improving day by day. This is only possible due to good and active placement cell that guides students. Internship opportunities are good in technology stream but less in core. Highest package from 2024 batch was 68 LPA and average was around 25 LPA.

Talking about hostels, the institute provides one of the best hostels among all the branches of the institute. Each hostel has 1 Table Tennis, 1 Badminton, 2 Carrom, 1 Fuse Ball, Trade Mill, Cycling Gym equipment, etc.

The institute is well known for its amazing campus and eye catering buildings. It includes Abhinandan Bhawan (academic office) and lecture complex as well as pods in which labs and classes are situated. Artificial pond and cricket stadium is currently (2024) under construction. There is an indoor sports complex with different courts and a swimming pool. There is a separate gym in an indoor complex. There is a library with separate discussion zones and 24 ×7 self study zones for studious students.

It has lush green campus. The night life is so amazing only if you make friends otherwise you'll be bored in your hostel room. Mess food is average. There are so many club of almost every domain that you can explore. It hosts India's biggest annual fests. There are lots of other fests and club activities that are held almost every night. There are canteens that are opened in night for students to chill with friends.
