My overall experience in this college has been good. For those who belong to Bihar or Jharkhand this place is best. I chose the college because it's near to my hometown and is best law college in Bihar. It provides a holistic development to an individual. Of course the university has many flaws and majorly you have to work for your own career as the university doesn't help much in that.

I am a BBA LL.B student. This course teaches you 11 management subjects in 1st three years along with law subjects. For the remaining 2 years only law subjects are taught. At the beginning of college you are given option to choose whether you want to enroll in B.A.LL.B or BBA LL.B. Generally commerce students opt for BBA LL.B as it matches with their curriculum. All the subjects taught in the college for 5 years are according to UGC guidelines and is designed in a way that helps you develop a clear understanding of law and other related things.

As a third year student I know most of the faculties. And the truth is most faculties are not that good. They definitely have high qualifications and ample knowledge but they lack on the teaching realm. Many teachers just don't know how to teach and make class monotonous. No doubt there are teachers who are very good in overall teaching but at the same time most of the professors don't know teaching. The teaching standard is not up to a National Law University level which I thought it would be when I first entered the college. This is because earlier teacher recruiting process was very flawed but the good thing is because of the new vice chancellor the flawed process is now removed and the new teachers to be recruited are ensured to be of high quality with students participating in the process.

There is a dedicated placement cell of college. But it does not work much. Very few students are able to get placement through the cell. Most of the students get placement from their hard work. They even fail to provide internship to students.

There is residential facility in our college for both boys and girls. The boys and girls hostel are separate and hostel facilities include gym, mess, and paid canteen and washing machine facilities. The hostels are very decent in terms of infrastructure. You get a separate balcony, table, chair and bed in your room. The only problem is of electricity. In Patna’s extreme hot and humid environment it becomes impossible to stay without AC. The hostel does not provide with ACs in rooms like other NLU’s. The worst part is that due to some problem in the transformer now they don't even allow you to install AC at your own cost. Some of those who have ACs in their room have to pay an exorbitant electricity charge of 20000 and still they are not allowed to use it whole day. There are time slots during which only AC can be used.

The campus is quite beautiful and has various plants and trees. The academic block is also very beautiful. Recently all the classes are converted into smart class with high tech equipment. There is also a guest house for parents who would like to stay for some days. But the university does lack an auditorium which is essential for any program to be conducted. The library capacity is also very less. There is a Nescafe outlet in campus for students. But no other eating outlets are open so if one does not want to eat in mess they have to go out of the campus.

The campus life is quite happening. As all the time something or the other is going on. Different competitions like moot court, mediation, essay competitions and more takes place every semester which helps students to develop different skills. Inter college competitions also takes place. DJ nights, dandiya nights, ethnic day, Holi celebration and all improve the campus life of our college. There are various committees which students can join according to their interests. The crowd of our college is really good. You get very helpful seniors that guide you in every difficulty. But as such no major fest takes place in our college.
