All about Computer Science Department of Midnapore College

Overall Rating
I have taken admission at Midnapore college in 2021. I have done B.Sc in Computer Science from this college. The over-all experience is decent. I have chosen this college for its reputation.
 

Academics Rating
I took admission in Computer Science department. It is a three year (Hons.) course. I have chosen the generic subject as Physics and Math. 2 years you have to study the generic subjects and last year you have to make a project on any topic that was given by your mentor. You should have Math or Computer Science in HS only then you are eligible for admission in this course.
 

Faculty Rating
The department has total six faculties. Few of them have good knowledge. Teaching technique is decent. If you want knowledge or a good job then self study is only option. BCA is a department here.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in the college. This year Accenture has come for recruiting students. There is not any pre placement training for the students. You have to work hard if you want placements.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is good. The college has 10 academic blocks. It is a 4 floored college building. The campus is good and clean. There is a basketball court in the center and also a canteen. Beside the basketball court there is an auditorium hall. The campus is very well decorated. There is a library and a study room.
 

Campus Rating
The college is situated at Rajabazaar. The campus is good and well decorated. Several fests and events like fresher’s, Teacher’s day and farewell are organised here.

    At first, I have applied in various colleges of Kolkata, Haldia, and some other districts. Nevertheless, it was a new journey to me so I choose a nearby college. Midnapore College has a great reputation. The faculty of our Economics department is very good in nature. The teachers here are humble to students. The admission procedure was also smooth.     I choose this college as I want to pursue my higher study in physics. This among the top hundred colleges in all over India. Its NIRF ranking is 73 all over India. This is the best college in our district almost all of alumni of this college are in best institute in our country and outside also.     I had a nice experience in 2.5 years at Midnapore College. It is an awesome college to start your college journey, as study environment is good enough. The placement opportunities are high for a B.Sc course from other colleges. The college provides us the opportunity to make goals by different events, curricular activities in our academics.     The campus life of this college is great, the faculty members specially department of BCA is supportive as they are always ready to help you. Beside this, various extra curriculum activities and seminar are also organised by college. The placement cell of this college is also active.
