BMS College of Engineering is a well known and a prestigious institution of India. It is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in India as it was established in 1946 in Basavanagudi. The main reason why you should choose this college is as you know Bangalore is an IT Hub and this college is located in middle of the city. It helps students a lot to do their internships or a decent job.

The faculty at BMSCE is well known for their experience, qualifications, academic excellence. Most of the faculties hold advanced degrees like Ph.D from reputed institutions in India and abroad. The faculties have experience of decades in teaching and research. The faculties are very supportive to students and guide the students. As I am in CSE, my most of the faculties have done research in this subject and have published research papers. Overall faculties are good and supportive which is all a student need.

Yes, there is a placement cell in this college which helps students a lot to enhance their skills. This team includes Professionals who helps in smooth functioning of placement activities. They also give pre placement training programs and provide various opportunities for internships also. Some of the tech giants companies visit in the campus like Microsoft, Atlassian, Amazon, Cisco, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, SAP, Bosch, L&T, etc. There is high placement rate with an average salary of 8 LPA and in Tech branch it’s up to 11 to 12 LPA and highest package is 50 LPA.

BMSCE offers separate hostels for boys and girls. It has six boys’ hostel and three girls’ hostels which includes students from all branches and offering amenities like Wi-Fi, gym, and mess facilities. Girls’ hostels ensure a safe and comfortable environment. An important thing about three hostels is that they are present outside the campus at a distance of 300-400 meter approximately and the students who live in those hostels are provided by bus facilities.

The infrastructure at BMSCE offers modern and well maintained facilities that have both academic and extracurricular activities. The campus is spread over 15 acres in the main city Bangalore. There are all facilities available in the campus. Most classrooms are equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors, etc. There are well equipped labs for various branches including Computer Science, Electronic, Mechanical, Civil, etc. The library is well maintained and has digital resources, etc. The only demerit is that the ground is not that large so you cannot play games like cricket and football but there is badminton court, volleyball court, etc.

There is a very beautiful campus life in BMSCE, because first and the most important factor is the weather of Bangalore, you are going to fall in love with the weather. Second thing there is very greenery here, so you will enjoy that also. There is a huge diversity in the students and not so much crowd as you see in private colleges. There are sports clubs along with technical clubs. The main fest here is ‘Utsav’ (Annual cultural fest) which is one of the most popular and largest inter-collegiate cultural fests in Bangalore. Many other fests are organized from time to time.
