Insights on the Student Life at BMS College of Engineering

Overall Rating
I chose BMSCE because it is a renowned college in Bangalore. The main point is that it is located in the IT hub of India as a CS student it would be beneficial. The campus is big enough with almost all the amenities. The faculty is experienced and their curriculum is excellent. The college hosts a seminar where engineers from reputed companies come to speak. The college life of BMSCE is impressive with a diverse crowd.
 

Academics Rating
They provide all the core engineering courses and also specializations in core branches. One can get admission to BMS College of Engineering through COMEDK or KCET. The eligibility is decided by the cut-off marks which change every year. There are three rounds of counseling for COMEDK. BMS College of Engineering offers courses with a strong curriculum which is one of the reasons why one should choose this college. Academically BMSCE is a very strong college with a good reputation.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of BMS College of Engineering is one of the best in a Bangalore. All of them are experienced and teaches us with real life examples. They use both ppt slides and chalk and other teaching methods for teaching. They take both laboratory and theory classes very well. The faculty including the HOD is always available to ask about anything and they are very friendly too. They provide us with lecture notes in class as well as they share the ppts for more information.
 

Placement Rating
We have a very active placement cell in our college. You can personally go and talk to the placement coordinators for clarification with any doubts you’re having with the placement. Top companies come to BMSCE for placement. There is written test that is required to be qualified in order to be eligible for placement. Those who clear the written test can sit for the technical interview. If you clear both rounds you will acquire a job. The placement record of ISE is the best in BMSCE.
 

Hostel Rating
BMS College of Engineering does provide residential facilities. They have hostels for both national and international students. You will be provided with either a two sharing or a triple sharing room with all the basic things. Bathrooms can be common or attached depending on which hostel you’re getting allocated to. They have cleaning staffs that cleans hostel on a daily basis. The food in the mess is decent with a variety of options. Their mess and kitchen are clean as well. The hostel also conducts yearly cultural fest where everyone in the hostel gets a chance to showcase their talents.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college infrastructure is up to standard. All their labs are well equipped. The college is clean and green. All the classrooms are big enough with both smart screen and whiteboard. Most of the classrooms in certain blocks have Air conditioners. Classrooms of BMS College of Engineering are well lit and ventilated. BMSCE has a big library with different sections for various purposes. College has mainly two canteens and stationary shop. Overall the infrastructure of BMSCE is great.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is decent in BMSCE. We have many clubs for different talents. There is selection to each club on a yearly basis. The clubs organise seminars and events for students. BMSCE performs well in both academics and extracurricular. BMSCE mainly has two fests. One of them is a tech fest known as Phase Shift and the other one is cultural fest knows as Utsav. Both are very popular among colleges in Bangalore. I would say the overall facilities and campus life at BMS College of Engineering is amazing and full of different experiences.

    BMS College of Engineering is a well known and a prestigious institution of India. It is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in India as it was established in 1946 in Basavanagudi.     BMSCE is located in center of Bangalore city making it very commutable, also having a good amount of nature within it. My seniors have told they even offer 10 LPA packages for good mechanical engineers. The best part being the campus life and the people around you as well.     BMSCE is one the top 3 private engineering colleges in Karnataka. The college has rich history and being India's first private engineering college established in 1946 has a great alumni. The college has very good placements and along with the academics they also promote cultural and technical activities along with sports facilities.     BMSCE is the oldest private engineering college in India established in 1946. The campus area is okay being 9 acres in total. The college canteen provides decent food with affordable prices.
