My POV on BMSCE Bangalore: Academics, Campus, and Cultural Events

Overall Rating
The BMS College of Engineering has good placement rate, which usually attracts the students. Whereas it also depends on one's CGPA and skills. Every branch has its own importance and identity. The College has experienced faculty. We have also good campus life as various college fests are held including tech fests, coding events, cultural activities, and many more. Campus area is limited but has good infrastructure.
 

Academics Rating
The academics here are upto the mark. We are given regular internal assessments, presentations, and tests, which maintains the consistency & helps in improving our overall academic performance. It is an Autonomous College, which is affiliated to VTU Belgaum. We have three internals per semester where marks of best of two will be considered during final assessment. Electronics and Communication strean might seem quiet challenging from 2nd year but is is manageable.
The fee structure at depends on how you have taken admission here (either KCET or COMEDK). In the year 2025, for students who are taken admission via KCET, the fee was Rs. 1,12,400/- and for COMEDK students, it was Rs. 3,00,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members here are well experienced and have excelled in many fields. They also have Ph.D degree. For teaching, we have blackboards. Teacher to student ratio is about 1:15. More attention is given to practicals and projects. Most of the faculty members are very responsive & cooperative with students. They guide us in every way they can. Many faculty members have strong technical knowledge and help students understand complex concepts through examples & practical approaches.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of BMSCE Bangalore includes modern classrooms (around 166) and laboratories. Classes of first year students are held at the different building that is located opposite of the main campus, which has minimal infrastructure. However, the main campus is well structured. There is large central library with vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources. We have auditoriums, seminar halls, and indoor stadium.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life in BMSCE is just awesome as various activities and fests are organised very frequently. There are many clubs for every course and many others for particular interests. We have Mountaineering Club, which organises extremely fun events and trekking. 'Phase Shift'is technical fest and 'Utsav' is Cultural fest, which attracts the College crowd. The College also held multiple academic programs. Despite all this, we have friendly student clubs and frequent activities.

    BMS College of Engineering is a well known and a prestigious institution of India. It is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in India as it was established in 1946 in Basavanagudi. The main reason why you should choose this college is as you know Bangalore is an IT Hub and this college is located in middle of the city.   • BMSCE Bangalore: Placements, Courses, and Admission Process

    I chose BMSCE because it is a renowned college in Bangalore. The main point is that it is located in the IT hub of India as a CS student it would be beneficial. The campus is big enough with almost all the amenities. The faculty is experienced and their curriculum is excellent. The college hosts a seminar where engineers from reputed companies come to speak.     BMSCE is located in center of Bangalore city making it very commutable, also having a good amount of nature within it. My seniors have told they even offer 10 LPA packages for good mechanical engineers. The best part being the campus life and the people around you as well. All the teachers use the local language as well as English. Only drawback being all canteens provides only veg food.... Read Full Review

    BMSCE is one the top 3 private engineering colleges in Karnataka. The college has rich history and being India's first private engineering college established in 1946 has a great alumni. The college has very good placements and along with the academics they also promote cultural and technical activities along with sports facilities.
