My Opinion over JNGEC, Sundarnagar

Overall Rating
My college provides degree to pursue Engineering in 5 different branches. I have great interest in Computer Science field which is why I have decided to take this branch. It has great infrastructure, labs and field view, also good teaching staff and large campus.
 

Academics Rating
The streams of Engineering that are available in the college are Computer Science, Electronics, Civil, Textile and Mechanical. Students are selected on the basis of rank of HPCET and JEE Mains Entrance Exams. The candidates need to score good marks in these exams in order to get admission in this college.
 

Faculty Rating
Every branch has best faculty for students to get skilled in their respective fields. Most of the professors have achieved highest degree in the education. They have good behavior, command, and best teaching skills and are well esteemed. They are hard working and very experienced people in order to make their students’ future bright.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the college has hostel facilities for the students. It has hostel for boys to stay in their rooms. Mess facilities are also provided by the college which has quality food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College has nice campus, a playground and five different blocks for each department. It also has its own indoor playground where students can play Tennis and TT.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great in JNGEC. Clubs in different fields like in Modeling, Coding, Singing and Dancing are also available. College organizes the fests such as 'Sangam' and 'Twask' every year. Students can also participate in different activities and show their potential in the field.

  • JNGEC: An affordable college with excellent academics

    JNGEC is a college which is on the affordable side and provides great education. It is one of the best government colleges in Himachal Pradesh after NIT and IIT. Getting admission is also relatively easy and can be taken by either JEE Mains, CUET or HPCET examination. Faculties of the college are well educated and have Ph.D and masters degrees and are pretty helpful.     My college is a government institution that means fewer fees with more facility. My parents were happy as girls’ fees are half of boys’ fees that mean it encourages girl child education.     I started my college in 2015 and after that my legs are not functioning properly due to no lift facility and proper bus facility provided to go to on top of a mountain. No such good facility available in college campus. There was no hostel for students. There is no playground. Every student has to trek mountain just for study.... Read Full Review
