Review of Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College

Overall Rating
I started my college in 2015 and after that my legs are not functioning properly due to no lift facility and proper bus facility provided to go to on top of a mountain. No such good facility available in college campus. There was no hostel for students. There is no playground. Every student has to trek mountain just for study.
 

Academics Rating
Academic facility is good. Teachers are cooperative and friendly. They are punctual and strict for attendance of students. They also help in project making. Other staff of college such as clerk, sweepers, peon, and librarian are so helpful and kind. The admission procedure is very good. Equipment in labs is up to date.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers have done Ph.D and M.Tech. They are very good in their respective subject. They use projectors which are less time consuming and very effective for studies. Every teacher prepares their own notes and PPT to teach us. I am so glad I found those teachers in my college Life. Our HOD is very strict and sincere.
 

Placement Rating
No good placement company comes in the campus.

No hostel
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are tall buildings of 6 floors but the lift in the college has no use. They don't care about lift systems. Except it, everything is fine. College is renovated every year. College infrastructure is very beautiful and there is nice view from the top of the college. The college place is very peaceful but reaching to college is difficult.
 

Campus Rating
There were no clubs at my time. The college life was so boring until task has come. The technical fest is only good thing happening in the college. My campus has no playground to play in free time or engage in sports activity. The canteen is super good and the food and sitting arrangement is awesome.

  • JNGEC: An affordable college with excellent academics
     

    Overall Rating
    JNGEC is a college which is on the affordable side and provides great education. It is one of the best government colleges in Himachal Pradesh after NIT and IIT. Getting admission is also relatively easy and can be taken by either JEE Mains, CUET or HPCET examination. Faculties of the college are well educated and have Ph.D and masters degrees and are pretty helpful.     My college is a government institution that means fewer fees with more facility. My parents were happy as girls’ fees are half of boys’ fees that mean it encourages girl child education.
