According to my JEE Main rank, I got admission in this institute. By screening this institute’s placement, culture, food and connectivity, I chose this institute. Also in Punjab there is no language barriers for me because Hindi is commonly use here. I am pursuing Instrumentation and Control Engineering in NIT Jalandhar

To get admission in Instrumentation and Control Engineering branch, you must have some basic knowledge of Analog Circuit, Digital Circuit and higher Mathematics like Laplace, Fourier and z-transform. You must have knowledge about the Computer. My motivation to join this course is I want to make some cheap agriculture machine which can easily afford by the small farmers.

20-25 faculties are provided in each branch. Each of them is having different research background and completed Ph.D from different IITs. The institute provides you personal mentorship for doing project on the basis of domain. They are very chill and having a great knowledge of their subjects. They share their knowledge with you in very exciting way and also demonstrates the working through practicals which help in clearing our doubts and have deeper understanding of the concepts.

Yes, institute has a placement cell. They provide a good opportunity to students in both it sector and core. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Nevada, BPCL, HPCL and others companies are visiting the campus. The placement rate here is approximately 90%. In Mechanical, they have 100% placement for last 2 years.

Yes, the institute has hostels for both boys and girls separately. There are totally 10-12 hostels allotted on basis of year. Hostels are having decent infrastructure like fan, table, chair, bed and light bulb, etc are provided by the hostel. Mess food is average. Girls have in time of 10 PM but boys have no time.

NIT Jalandhar has a great infrastructure and amazing biodiversity. They have gardens filled with various kinds of beautiful flowers, birds and other scenic views. Academic blocks and buildings are fully air conditioned and are having a good sitting place. Labs have all important instrumentation for you engage in an experimental work. Library is fully stocked with amazing books and also has separate study rooms. In campus, there are 3-4 canteens, some juices and milkshake corners, Domino's and Nescafe.

This institute is in Punjab so cultural richness is so awesome. Food and vibe is so great. There are mainly two fests one is culture fest name ‘Utkansh’ and technical fest name ‘Techniti’. There are so many clubs in institute including Dance, Singing, Technical, Financial, etc.
