MVSR Engineering College is too good to be true

Overall Rating
Missing out on IITs is never a good feeling but then MVSR happened to me. Yes, automobile engineering here is the most famous department but CSE too is equally good. Some harsh faculties and too much of practical applications but it’s all worth it as I have met some IITians during internships and it felt no different competing with them education wise.
 

Academics Rating
Classes here are short as 9 to 1 and we are done for the day on most days, but 2 days practical are mandatory to attend. One can't miss classes here in order to maintain attendance and classes are generally quite interesting. Syllabus is updated and we are always in check with what's all happening not just in tech world but financial world too.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties as I mentioned before are little harsh on us but as they say students these days learn things the hard ways. Their mentorship and guidance have pushed us and they have ensured that a healthy competition among us always exists. Surprise tests and all are their every week things.
 

Placement Rating
You name any top IT company and not just the Indian tech giants but global IT giants too who are operational in India all come here for placements. Students have bagged placements worth 30-40 lakh per annum here and getting a placement worth 15 LPA is no big deal.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no hostels inside the campus and I am from Hyderabad so I anyways don't need any hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus area is somewhere 20 acres or so. Buildings are good but overall campus like the sports field isn't that great. Auditorium is great and perhaps the best part of our infrastructure. The indoor sports complex though is well maintained but have strict timings for accessibility.
 

Campus Rating
Events are better than most colleges. Last month we had sports fest named Athena and is celebrated every year where students are pushed to participate. Crowd is quite good here. Coding culture and societies are quite active. Students of our college have participated in many global gaming competitions too. The college has bus facilities for us and state transport buses are also easily available for commuting. LB Nagar metro station is at 20 mins walking distance from our college and that is how I commute daily to the college.

    MVSR Engineering College is very good. Lecturers give extra knowledge. If you want career guidance, there are many available to guide students. Before joining, I do not have any impression on the college but now I can conclude that it is a decent college. Inside the college, students have complete freedom compared to other colleges.     The college has a large library, separate blocks for each branch, and well-equipped labs. It also has a sports ground, automobile workshops, and food stalls. The faculty is well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The Placement Cell at MVSR has a success rate of around 80%. Major recruiters include Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Accenture. The Placement Cell is effective in training them for the industry.... Read Full Review
