A review on IIT, Mumbai

Overall Rating
From childhood itself I have heard about IIT Bombay being the best institute in India for engineering. There are good placements and strong alumni network along with the startup culture. The sports and cultural facilities motivated me to join this college.
 

Academics Rating
The course is consists of 8 semesters and each semester roughly has two quizzes, one mid semester and one end semester for each course. To join the institute the student needs to write JEE Advanced Examination after qualifying the JEE Mains. The exams here are not so hard one can easily get good grades if they attend the classes and pay attention in the class.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are all very educated in their fields of study. They are always eager to explain even the simplest of doubts in the classes. Almost all have their Ph.D in their domains. Favorite professor here is Mayank Pareek who was the CEO of TATA Motors, he currently teaches the course of management in the institute.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the placement cell helps the students in the getting jobs. The average placement of the institute is 23, 50,000 LPA. The highest placement ever was 4CR and this year was more than 1CR.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are great but a bit old. There are washing machines and dryers. Also the washrooms are cleaned twice a day. And the hostel mess is also very good and clean.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the buildings present in the campus is so good. The classrooms are well equipped with blackboards, whiteboards and projected screens. Also the hostels like H17 and H18 are the best hostels given to 4th year UG students. The sports infrastructure in the campus is also top notch.
 

Campus Rating
The freedom that we get in the hostel life and the security of the campus is amazing. All the opportunities in the campus along with all daily requirements involving facilities do improve the campus life a lot. Also the different cultural activities organised within the hostel uplift the quality of life inside the campus.
