St Stephen's: The College of Dreams.

Overall Rating
St Stephen's is a beautiful college, nestled in the heart of Delhi. Spread over a humongous 69 acres. This college reminds you instantaneously of the vintage British era. The brick walls, the sprawling lawns, the chirping of birds, and the scent of musk rose teasing your nostrils are enough to delight anyone. Extraordinary teachers, beautiful students and an even more beautiful environment completes this college. It’s a perfect venue for learning and having fun!
 

Academics Rating
All arts and science courses are taught in this college with BA Hons. Economics. This is the most prestigious course. The cutoffs go really high each year and only the creme de la creme get to study here. Classes rarely get cancelled and everyone comes here to primarily study and secondarily enjoy.
 

Faculty Rating
My course is BA Hons. in Economics. My teachers are very knowledgeable and wise. One of them is a graduate from Princeton University. The other two are also highly qualified. Overall, teachers in the college are erudite and they deserve to be a part of this prestigious college. Discipline is an integral part of the college.
 

Placement Rating
The Campus Placement Cell helps the students in securing jobs for the students. The cell has tied up with big companies in the past such as JP Morgan and Accenture. It is quite active and keeps organizing events and lectures for students. It isin touch with various companies for the benefit of students and to help them get packages worth 35 Lakh rupees per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
There is residence in my college, which is not called as hostel because of the college principal's belief: we all are a family. Only outstation students are allowed to apply for it. Its not like any other hostel as its corridors feel like home. The rooms are spacious, the food is nice, and discipline is maintained throughout your stay.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The buildings are spectacularly built, and have stood the test of time through 143 years. The essence of the college is in its main corridor and the gardens. It gives college its identity. Drinking water, washrooms and hand wash areas are easily available. The neatly cut grass and gorgeous flowers allure us. Sports facilities are also ubiquitous and it is actually sensational how a college so old has retained its grandeur along with developing through the ages.
 

Campus Rating
The flagship fest of my college, Harmony, is a beautiful event held once a year. It is a time of the year when everyone enjoys and rejoices. The overall campus life is great. It has ample space to roam and discover. Societies are quite active and engaging. Something keeps happening on campus throughout.

    Overall, St Stephens is among top colleges of DU as we have best infrastructure among all the DU colleges. Many famous people such as Sagarika Ghosh, Kapil Sibbal, and Sachin Pilot among others have studied here. Apart from it, the huge Alumni network comprising of prominent bureaucrats and policy makers of the country including S. Jaishankar, and Shashi Tharoor. I chose this College because not just because of its prestige (which is definitely a major reason in itself), but because of the level of exposure and the professional guidance that students receive here in my academics and extra-curricular.
