St Stephen's College, New Delhi is a name in itself known for its courses on Liberal Arts and Science. The College has been a center of knowledge since 144 years. Built in the year 1881 under the Cambridge Mission, the College holds a significant history in the knowledge inception during the pre independence period and stands as a beacon of knowledge post independence too with names like Gandhi, C.F Andrews, and Tagore attached to this very Institution. Thus, this long history of College makes it a special one along with the able facilities that are within the College.

I choose B.A due to the very own fact that the College is known for its Liberal Arts courses. The course is not only widely preferred by many but it also forms a base for many competitive exams all around the country. The eligibility criteria for admission are through CUET examination, which requires us to be well versed with our 12th syllabus in our specific domains. The cutoff varies depending on which course one opts for; also, a stark difference is seen in the cutoff of Arts and Science. The frequency of the examinations is prepared according to the schedule of the students and is flexible pertaining to the combinations of all. The academics too are taught in a way that it not only gives you the bookish knowledge but also prepares you for the real world by imbibing practical knowledge within oneself.

The fee of St Stephen's College, New Delhi is minimal and affordable. Concessions are given to physically challenged students in both hostel and term fees. The College also from time to time releases various scholarships including financial assistance ones, merit based, etc. to facilitate the growth and learning of individuals. If we talk about the overall fees, it varies from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 25,000/- per semester depending upon the course one studies.

The faculty of the College is renowned over the Delhi University circuit with professors ranging from JNU, IIT's to Oxford, and Harvard. Hence the faculty members are a group of learned individuals who have done remarkable work in their fields. Also, the teachers from time to time go for their sabbatical so as to enrich their knowledge. With the use of PPTs, the faculty tries to render the best knowledge possible. In addition, the classroom ratio is such that each teacher can contribute to the individual growth of students. The teachers are not only syllabus oriented but also try to provide a deeper knowledge about the reality of life and about the practical knowledge.

The Placement Cell of St Stephen's College, New Delhi is an active space for corporate interaction for the students. Top notch companies including Mc Kinsey, BCG, Kearney, Accenture and many more comes for the College recruitment process every year providing a package of 16 LPA to 20 LPA, respectively. The Placement Cell from time to time also conducts pre Placement talks in order to provide the students about the corporate world. The highest package was 29 LPA.

The College hostel that is the residence is the most beautiful and worth living part of this College experience. The hostel comprises of 6 buildings 3 for boys and 3 for girls respectively. The hostel holds an integral part of the ones who reside in them with late night talks to waking up 10 minutes before the class; residence has its own moods of ups and downs. The hygiene of the residence blocks is well maintained by the staff and is cleaned every day. Regular maintenance also takes place. The hostel also provides recreational space known as the JCR. The overall experience of residence is worth living and is full of friendships and great learning

The whole College building is divided into different blocks comprising the hostel area and the sports complex with major part of the College spread over 25 acres of land. The classrooms are well laid and organised into Science and Arts block. The Science block consists classrooms and labs for Chemistry and Physics. They have their own library as well. Coming to the Arts block, the block consists of various classrooms including administrative block and library along with study areas for students. The campus consists of 2 canteens, one in the Arts block another in Science. The College also provides medical and counselling facility to students free of cost along with computer rooms, recreational and resting spaces.

To be honest, the College is not just a place of study; it is a home away from home. It is a home to many different people from different culture, regional, dialect but all come together in this shared space to cherish the diversity of the country and St Stephen's College, New Delhi is a hub of diversity. The College also supports extracurricular activities with societies ranging from departmental ones to cultural to educational and sports. The annual fest, 'HARMONY' gives every student a chance to live the reality of diversity and inclusivity. Overall, it is a place worth living a dream.
