Daulat Ram College B.A Review By Tanisha Jain

It’s been 1 year in DRC now and honestly I have lived one of the best years of my life in this college. Although, the college is not as hyped as others but it provides all the facilities that a college should. It’s a girls’ college. This college is really great where students come to study from various cultural backgrounds. I opted this college as I wanted to study Psychology; and in DU only few colleges offer Psychology. I believe I made the right choice.

I am a student of B.A (Philosophy & Psychology) Program where Psychology is my Major and Philosophy is my Minor subject. To enroll to this course, you need to clear CUET exam with one language, one domain and general test OR one language and three domains. My motive behind enrolling for the course was because I wanted to establish my career in the field of Psychology.

Faculty of Daulat Ram College is great. They share their entire knowledge with the students. They teach typically in English and Hindi which helps the students to understand the subject properly since not everyone is well versed in English. Teachers are educated and aware about the advancements about their subject. The teachers mainly teach us by giving practical life examples which makes us understand the concepts in a simpler way.

The campus area of Daulat Ram College is not vast but it has all the required amenities. There are different blocks in the college for various departments. There is a sports complex for students including a huge ground which is utilized to organise the sports fest and other important functions. It also has an auditorium which is known as Sadbhavana Bhawan which is used for all the indoor functions. The college has a huge library which houses almost all the necessary books. Overall, DRC has a good infrastructure.

Campus life at DRC is great. The crowd is average. The college has various active societies. Also, DRC organises an Annual Fest known as 'Manjari'. There are various seminars, conferences and other events taking place on a weekly basis for skill and personality development of the students. There is also a career counseling session conducted for the students to clear their doubts. Overall, DRC has a great campus life and students who are looking forward to take admission here will truly enjoy it.
