Overall Rating
NIT Jalandhar is a really good institute with great placements and alumni network. The campus life is very nice. The Tuition Fee of my course was Rs. 62,500/-.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Industrial & Production Engineering because here the placement rate is 95% and I like to study about machines and robotics. The classrooms are maintained, and the professors are friendly & very helpful. You can get admission to this course on the basis of your rank. There is no interview or group discussion conducted for admissions here and one can get admission based on their JEE Mains rank and followed by JOSAA / CSAB counseling.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is very helpful. Some of the professors are very interactive and always do new experiments. Sometimes you might feel an academic pressure. You can clear your doubts with your professor during the tutorial classes.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are good in my branch; from the last two years the placement rate is 95% and in Mechanical or other core branches they have a good placement rate. Highest salary package of my branch is 18.87 LPA, and the highest package of my institute is 52 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 3 hostels for the first-year students namely, BH1, BH2, and BH5. BH1 and BH2 are four-seater hostels but the food quality here is very good and facilities like computer room, library, reading room are available in these hostels. In BH5, there are 2-seater rooms and food quality here is not so good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar has a good infrastructure with Academic Blocks for each branch present. It has a separate department building for Tutorial Classes, Lecture Theatres, Department Labs, a Central Seminar Hall, Open Air Theatre, Canteens, and many more. For students, hostel facilities are provided, and the campus also has a temple.
 

Campus Rating
Many types of clubs are present here like music, dance, web development, sports, NSS, NCC, etc. You can join any of these clubs as per your choice. Many types of fests like Cultural and Technical fest named Utkansh are conducted here.

    This was the best institute and branch according to my JEE score. As it is a central government institute, it provides a vast range of placement opportunities and internships. The campus is decent with a lot of greenery. For first year students, the curriculum is very tight and hostel timings are very strict. Hostels are very good and provide all the necessary amenities.   • NIT, Jalandhar : Better Than My Expectations

    Earlier, I was not about to take admission here but as the situations changed after my JEE Mains result, this institute was offering me the best I could get based on my rank, Information Technology.
