My Life in Wilson College

Overall Rating
The college is good and the crowd is also excellent. Teachers are mostly friendly with the students and teach well too. College has many activities going on, on a regular basis. Fests and all are also organized in which fun is mostly depending on the organizing committee.
 

Academics Rating
The course includes Economics, Commerce, Advertising, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Management Accounting over a period of 3 years. There are subjects like Life Skills and even EVS in 1st year with Maths as well. There is no such entry requirements just score above 50 percent in 12th standard. I enrolled for this program because I am interested more in Commerce and Finance field.
 

Faculty Rating
B.Com faculty at Wilson College is not up to the mark.
 

Placement Rating
The placements cells are there and students do get jobs but percentage is very low and packages can be low too.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a boy’s hostel right next to college and a girl’s hostel which is around 10 to 12 minute walking distance from college. Hostel hosts many activities for students throughout the year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are two buildings; one is main & old one and other is the new Saint Andrew. Both are good and have classrooms which have ample amount of space and ventilation with three washrooms for staff and students. The college has separate girl’s and boy’s common room. There is a library as well and there is a separate section for women in the library too. There is also GYM in the college. Canteen is also there and food is okay.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is fun. The crowd is good. You get a lot of exposure and meet diverse people. Fests are also organized like ‘Hope’ and ‘Ole’. Festivals are also celebrated like Onam, Garba, etc. Different activities and extracurricular stuff keeps on happening in college at all times. Taking part can help you engage with students from different batches.

    The experience at Wilson College has been such a 'rollercoaster' just like the title of this review. From fests to academics to volunteering, it all has been a great journey.
