Wilson College B.Com Review By Poonawala Zahara

The experience at Wilson College has been such a 'rollercoaster' just like the title of this review. From fests to academics to volunteering, it all has been a great journey. I joined this college with nothing specific in mind, but I was glad I got accepted because my mother studied here so it felt like I am continuing the legacy and because I have a suitcase filled with memories.

I am a B.Com student. There are 6 semesters and each semester has a variety of subjects to offer which are quite interesting and easy to learn with the right faculty. We were given assignments but along with that we were also asked for various subjects to make presentations on topics of our choice pertains to the subject. You require to get a decent percentage of 80% and above in 12th grade for general category along with filling the university and college form. I enrolled to get a better insight in Commerce world to help enhance my knowledge and practicality.

The faculty members teaching at Wilson College are experienced and knowledgeable. Along with theory, enhanced practical knowledge is also provided. Freedom to explore and innovation is given for presentations. We got a lot of learning experience through these presentations as we are given the liberty to choose topics and talk on the same.

We do have a placement cell at Wilson College. Prestigious companies come to our campus, and students with qualified skills and experience are able to acquire positions for the same.

Wilson College is known for its historical infrastructure. Its architecture is a mixture of modernity along with elements of history. It has a beautiful courtyard which also has the Gymkhana, for various sports activities. It has 4 academic buildings for different courses. It has established labs for the science and IT students. A neat and clean canteen with proper tables and chairs with a range of food items to offer is also there in the campus. It has separate designated common rooms for both girls and boys. It also has a library with 3 separate partitions and 2nd floor for girls to use. All in all, Wilson's infrastructure is quite commendable.

It has been a very interesting journey, filled with lots of laughter, fun, experiences and a suitcase full of memories. This college is also known for having a variety of fests, which include both cultural and societal fests, which is something very special. I have been a part of fests working as a volunteer and the hands on experience that you get and meeting people with such talent is something beautiful. There a bunch of clubs such as Rotaract, nature club, stage crew and so much more. To sum it all up, campus life will not at all be dull. It will be full of crazy experiences and memories of a lifetime.
