The Campus Life at Kurukshetra University is Brilliant

Overall Rating
My name is Rohit. After completing my 12th grade, I took admission in Kurukshetra University. I completed my graduation here and am now pursuing an M.Sc in Statistics. I had heard a lot about the M.Sc Statistics program, which is why I choose this department. The department is quite good and the teachers are very supportive. The placements and work opportunities are impressive, and the course is well structured, which made me decide to take admission here.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently pursuing an M.Sc in Statistics from the Statistics and OR department at Kurukshetra University. Admission here requires a basic entry level exam conducted at the University level with eligibility criteria requiring a background in Mathematics or Statistics during graduation. I choose this program with a focus on building a career in IT and Data Analytics, and my experience so far has been very positive.
 

Faculty Rating
Our department has several faculty members, who are highly experienced and well educated, with most holding Ph.D. The office also has experienced staff to handle administrative work efficiently. The teachers conduct classes with thorough preparation, ensuring that students receive quality instruction and that the entire syllabus is covered properly. In our department, we can say that all the members are genuinely excellent.
 

Placement Rating
Although our department doesn't have its own placement cell, but the University has a well organised placement cell that conducts placement drives effectively. Additionally our department also offers placement opportunities, with professor suggesting roles and providing guidance. Ultimately success in placement depends on individual preparation.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls, which are quite safe and affordable. There are scholarships available for students from weaker family background, ensuring that everyone can access these facilities, which is a great aspect. The hostel buildings are a mix of older and newer structures, featuring common rooms, and dormitory style accommodations. There is also a garden on the premises, adding to the pleasant environment.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Kurukshetra University is quite beautiful, but many of the buildings for the departments are quite old. While the infrastructure may be aged, all the necessary equipment are available here. There are numerous departments, including integrated and honors program, as well as law department. The University also features a graduation college, along with an NIT nearby. The campus has a library, gardens, a theatre, canteen, and other amenities. Cleanliness is well maintained here. Dharohar and the nearby Bharam Sarovar add to the University's charm. Overall, everything is satisfactory here.
 

Campus Rating
The University regularly hosts festivals at both the department and university levels. Currently, a cultural fest named Ratnavali is starting today. Students participate in large numbers and enjoy these events immensely. Campus Life can be fully enjoyed while staying in the hostel which I have experienced very positively. Additionally, various activities such as tours and sports meet are organized regularly. These events contribute to a vibrant campus life.

    Faculty members are very kind and helpful. The exams are conducted on regular basis. It is ranked 700-751 in the Asian University (Rankings 2023) and ranks 41 in the State University category.     Kurukshetra University is a State Government University funded by Haryana Government. It's located in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The campus area of the University is approximately 500 acres and it's very beautiful with flowers and trees everywhere. A museum Dharohar is also in the University.
