
Kurukshetra University (KUK) started operations in 1956 as a Sanskrit University. It is a State University located in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The foundation stone of the KUK Kurukshetra was laid by the first President of India, late Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
Kurukshetra University is approved by UGC and AICTE. It is recognised by the Ministry of Education (erstwhile MHRD), BCI, PCI, NCTE, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The University is also accredited by NAAC.
KUK University is popular for facilitating standard academic and research facilities to the students. The University has around 10 faculties with about 49 departments; some of these are Faculty of Arts & Languages, Faculty of Commerce & Management, Faculty of Law, and many more. Admission Process
For admission in the desired program offered by the KUK Kurukshetra, students can fill in the application form available on its official website.
Admission seats for the UG and PG courses of the University Departments (UTD) will be filled by the University on the basis of the students’ merit marks in the respective entrance test, group discussion, interview, and Physical Efficiency Test (PET),depending on the course.

Golden Jubilee Post-Graduate Scholarships
Every year, this scholarship is awarded to the students of PG courses (except for Self-Financed courses) every year for 10 months. Students must fulfil the requisite eligibility conditions for continuation of the granted scholarship.
Smt. Kiran Yadav Scholarship
The Smt. Kiran Yadav Scholarship is offered to a student of the B.Ed Special Education (Visual Impairment) who fulfils the eligibility criteria stated by the University.

Kurukshetra University has a Career and Counselling Cell that provides assistance to the students in developing their skills through seminars & workshops. Moreover, there is a Kurukshetra University Centre for Training, Internships and Employment (KUCTIE) that combines and enhances the theoretical and practical learning of the students.
