Eligibility and Admission Process

The university offers scholarships to some of their programs. The Scholarship Committee is the one that decides the scholarship slabs and no changes in it will be done as students won’t move to higher or lower slabs of the scholarships and will only get the scholarship that they deserve. The scholarship will remain same for all the years but for that to happen students will have to maintain a certain CGPA and percentage. Now, let’s discuss the types of scholarships that MMDU offers:
Merit Based Scholarship – Students with 90 or more percentage gets, 100% fee waiver in tuition fees. Students with 80 to 90% gets 40% waiver. If it’s between 70 to 80%, 30% fee waiver is provided, and for students with 60 to 70% gets 20% fee waiver.
Warriors of Covid-19 Scholarship – The university has started a special scholarship for the students who are wards of bank employees, sanitation workers, media persons, nurses, doctors, staff of government or private hospitals, and para-medical staff, and wards of policemen. A 15% flat fee waiver for such students is provided by the university.
Girl Child Scholarship – This is a common scholarship in most universities and MMDU too has special reservations for this scholarship. However, this scholarship is only for girls who carry a state domicile and a 15% fee waiver is provided to all the girls of the state who enrol at MMDU.

Maharishi Markandeshwar University Placements of 2022 were conducted and many top corporate names like EY, Infosys, Microsoft, Deloitte and others made their presence at the placement drive of the university. In 2022, nearly 1300 offers were made and students of engineering, management, hotel management, nursing, and law were given dream offers. The university witnessed an astonishing figure of INR 25 LPA being the highest placement offer offered to one of their students. The year 2021, which is more remembered for COVID hardly affected the university placements as around 1500 students were offered dream packages and over 300 companies in all visited the university placement drive.
For all this to happen, the university has established a placement and training cell which helps students prepare for GDs, communication skill development, and all the required skill enhancement training. Hostels – As many as 13 hostels including boys and girls are there at the campus. From AC rooms to non-AC rooms, recreation rooms, Wi-Fi, a fully operational mess that provides both veg & non-veg food is there at the campus.
Sports Facilities – None other than ace Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has established a centre of excellence at the campus. Apart from his cricket academy there are also basketball courts, badminton courts, football ground, swimming pool, squash court, and athletics ground.
Residential Facilities – Apart from student hostel, there’s also a residential facility at the campus that accommodates nearly 500 staff members of the university.
