My overall experience at CVS has been good. If anyone wants to grow as an individual, they must join the societies of CVS. There are lots of societies here which can help you explore your talent and skills. Some of them are Reverie (parent society of all cultural societies), all cultural societies, Enactus, Women Development Cell, E-Cell, Marketing Society, Debating Society, etc. Infrastructure of CVS is average. I opted to enroll in a Vocational course at CVS to gain some practical experience, as mentioned in DU's brochure. However, there is theoretical teaching as well. Since the introduction of NEP, attendance has been considered important and one must have at least 67% attendance to sit in the examination otherwise one may get detained from taking some of the exams. The timetable of CVS is quite weird. You may have your first class at 8:30 am / 9:30 am then your second class might be at 12:00 pm.

I am pursuing a Vocational Course in Materials Management (MM). This course is related to Supply Chain Management. It is one of the 7 Vocational courses provided by the College. The others are Human Resource Management (HRM), Tourism Management (TM), Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Management of Marketing and Insurance (MMI), Marketing Management and Retail Business (MMRB) and Modern Office Management (MOM). To enroll in the Vocational courses, one must clear CUET with any of the two given combinations. There’s no such different eligibility criterion for these courses. Anyone from any stream (Science, Commerce and Humanities) can pursue the vocational courses.

Faculty of Vocational courses is good. Many of them are Ph.D holders and some of them are pursuing Ph.D. Many of them teach well. In Vocational courses, question papers are set by the College teachers, so they help us with important topics for the exam. They also provide us with notes. Every faculty has a different teaching style; some prefer the students to make notes during lectures, and some teachers take lectures through PPT and providing notes in groups. One of my teachers used to take presentations of chapters from students. The teachers not only teach us but also give us valuable life lessons. The teachers don't cancel their lectures unnecessarily.

Yes, there is a Placement Cell called Aspire in CVS. Their coordinators bring lots of meaningful internships and placement opportunities for the students. The average package is 4LPA - 6LPA mainly in HR, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc. There are less / negligible placement offers in Materials Management.

CVS doesn't provide hostel facilities. Students have to look for PG or flat for their residence.

The campus is located in Sheikh Sarai Phase-2. It has 3 academic blocks, namely Old Building (OB), New Building (NB), and SNB. Mainly, the classes used to be held in OB and NB. NB's infrastructure is quite good compared to OB. OB building is hexagonal in shape, and the space in between is an amphitheater. All the big events like fests, Diwali mela used to happen here. There is a Seminar Hall, Library, GCR & BCR, Canteen, staff rooms, NSS room, and 2 computer Labs in OB as well. There is a cultural building in the campus for cultural societies like Zest (Dance Society), Appregio (Music Society), Manthan (Fashion Society), Theater Society (Dramanomics), and Criador (Art Society). There is also a big ground behind the OB where you can play football, cricket, volleyball, and basketball. You can get the kits and equipment from the sports room which is on the ground as well.

The crowd at CVS is good. Most students are from Delhi and NCR and neighboring states like UP, Haryana, MP, Bihar, etc. There are 20+ societies in the college and all of them are active. All societies are full of learning. There is no ragging on the campus. Seniors are friendly and cooperative. Coming to the fest point, TATVA is its name, and it used to be held in February for 2-3 days. The overall campus life is quite good, and the most important thing to mention here is it is up to us how we make our college life and how we make the most of it. For some students, CVS is just a tier 2 college, and they used to count only its negative side, but some students know and understand how to make the most of it and doing really well in their life.
