S K Somaiya College is one of the best colleges in Mumbai in terms of education. The campus is so big. The college teaching faculty is well qualified, and they help the students whenever they are in need. There are two libraries where the students can sit in the libraries and prepare for their exams. The fest conducted by the college is amazing. Each year they come up with different activities, sports games, and workshops. There are no hygiene issues in the college; it is always neat and clean. The only thing that I hate is college attendance. They used to call the parents if the attendance is not 75%.

I completed my B.Com from SK Somaiya college. There is no entrance exam for applying to this course. But yes, there is a certain percentage that you need to score in your 12th board exams to get admission in this course. So, I wanted to pursue CA, and that's why I choose to do B.Com. The course subjects include Maths, EVS, Accounts, Economics, Company Law, Taxation, etc. Maths is compulsory in the first year; in the next two years, you won't have maths subject. Only having a B.Com degree won't get you anywhere. In today's world, you need to have a professional degree as well to be ahead of other people.

The teaching staff of the college are subject experts. They all are well-qualified. If the students have any doubts or queries, they are always ready to help out. They all have years and years of experience in their respective fields. The teaching method is easy for students to understand.

The infrastructure of the college is very good. All the classrooms have smart boards. The one thing that the college needs to improve is the lift system. Sometimes, it is difficult to reach the 7th floor when the lift is not working. There are two libraries- open and closed. It has an auditorium for conducting various workshops and programs. The canteen is bumping with students all the time, because of its delicious food. Do try the food whenever you visit the college.

There is no other campus like Somaiya. The campus is so vast. The amphitheater is always full of students. If you have cravings? There is a Maggi house to satisfy your taste buds. The canteens are fully equipped and clean. The fest conducted by colleges is a must-attend. There are many sports available like badminton, cricket, volleyball, basketball, etc. The Maker Mela fest is one of the biggest gatherings where the students can showcase their ideas.
