S K Somaiya Degree College, Mumbai: Best Infrastructure

Overall Rating
At S K Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai academics is the top most priority. Out of all the colleges of Mumbai University ours is special as even though the college is under Somaiya Vidyavihar University, My course B.Com is still affiliated with University of Mumbai. If it wasn't the case, I may not have taken admission.
 

Academics Rating
My search for a good academic college ended here. As academics are a citadel here so the college provides best in class lectures and outstanding exposure. We get practical training through internships provided by the college’s internship cell. We can get internships in whichever domain we want like marketing, finance, etc. So, not just learning from textbooks but learning from practical exposure as well.
My college fee for B.Com course is just Rs. 20,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Phenomenon, fabulous and what not are our faculties. I was enormously impressed with their teaching methods and was left numb on some instances looking at their potent degrees that they have. All students go through phases when they do something weird and that’s when our faculties role come into play as to help us get over those phases. They do it better than anyone else. A mindset that we will pass exams just by going through the notes or opening the books a week before the exams was completely changed by our faculties.
 

Placement Rating
For B.Com we are assisted for internships but placements are hard to get.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostels but I have no idea about it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college building is enormous. Not just the world class classrooms but the top floor terrace which is a hangout zone for us is god level. College has all the facilities like library, auditorium, canteen, sports arena, etc. Hence, there's nothing that our university campus miss out.
 

Campus Rating
Our college is known for the kind of events that it hosts. In the odd semester we have a Maharashtrian cultural fest called ‘Asmita’ for 7 days. We have a traditional day too in that we all dress up like we belong to Maharashtra. In the even semester we have a cultural fest called ‘Utkarsh’. Both the fests hold significance and thus show that we have a lot more at our college than just the studies.

    S K Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science and Commerce are an autonomous college under the affiliation of University of Mumbai. It provides a variety of courses in humanities and commerce. I have been a student of SK for over two years now and it has been wonderful experience so far.     S K Somaiya College is one of the best colleges in Mumbai in terms of education. The campus is so big. The college teaching faculty is well qualified, and they help the students whenever they are in need. There are two libraries where the students can sit in the libraries and prepare for their exams. The fest conducted by the college is amazing. Each year they come up with different activities, sports games, and workshops.
