Shiv Nadar University B.Sc Review By Sanjana Siram

I chose Shiv Nadar University because of its heavy emphasis on overall academics. It allows us to take minors and explore variety of subjects that interest us. It has state of the art infrastructure and facilities which attracted me the most. It has a huge campus spanning 200 plus acres. It has a wide range of extracurricular activities which enables all round development of a students. The huge fests such as ‘Breeze’ and ‘Surge’ allow students to explore various activities. The faculties is really helpful and are friendly. Professors here are highly qualified. The campus is extremely beautiful and it has a world class auditorium.

You need to have minimum of 60% in grade 12th. SNU Noida admission 2025 is entrance-based for all UG and some of PG courses. The university accepts national-level entrance exams such as JEE Mains, SAT, GATE, GMAT, XAT, etc. It also conducts its own entrance exam called SNUSAT for admissions to UG courses. The university offers over 54 courses through its five schools, five centers and 24 departments. The university shortlists aspirants for B.Sc based on SAT, SNUSAT or ACT scores. Shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. There is a focus on different kind of learning methods. It is intuitive and practical.

The faculty is highly qualified. Almost all of them have masters or PhD degree in their respective fields. There is a focus on both theoretical and practical part of the subject from their side. Professors are quite helpful. They are ready to explain our doubts regardless of how many times we ask them. They grade us on assignments, projects, and quizzes.

We have a placement cell at Shiv Nadar University. It's called CDC. I don't have much idea about it as a fresher. Although, I have spoken to my seniors before deciding to join this college. The placement rate varies from course to course. B.Tech has more placements as compared to Economics and Finance. They are relatively newer courses so CDC is still trying to bring new companies for placements. They also help us with internships but a lot of students apply for them on their own.

The hostel infrastructure is good. The people are nice. The wardens are helpful. We have a vending machine. We also have a pantry on each floor. Pantry room of ground floor has water dispenser, water filter, induction stove, microwave, and toaster. There is a table set up to eat as well. The rooms are fine. There should be more AC rooms though as it gets difficult in the summers. There are 5 floors and 3 wings on each hostel. The bathrooms have hot water in winters. Would be great if there was a fridge.

There are A to R blocks on campus. A, B, C, and D are academic blocks where classes take place. The classrooms have modern facilities R block is Research block where there are labs. G block has a huge auditorium. The library is 3 floored. There are various books, journals, and newspapers to refer to. It is a quite place. It has a café which has great coffee, food and pastries. There and three dining halls for food. Students can go to any of them. There are multiple places to eat food if you miss a meal. There is a GYM, and power lifting gym. There is an indoor badminton court, and table tennis court. There are outdoor courts also like football fields, basketball courts, squash, and tennis courts as well.

My campus has many fests. There are activities throughout the year. Breeze is SNUs annual techno fest. It is 3 days long with great music, thrilling rides, good food, and fun performances. Surge is a sports fest. This 3 day long sports welcomes students from many universities all over India. Huge number of sports and hundreds of participants from in and out of college make this event grand and unforgettable. There is Dastaans, which has ethnic night, prom, and dj night. There is freshers and club fair as well. There are also 30 plus clubs here which has technical clubs, fun cubs, discussion clubs, etc. Overall, the campus is always buzzing students are encouraged to participate in various activities and clubs.
