Good college experience at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College

Overall Rating
I think it's a value for money college. There are better colleges in West Bengal, but Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College is relatively affordable and if you take admission through WBJEE, then it will be more beneficial for you.
 

Academics Rating
Well, the curriculum of all the colleges in India is almost the same but what matters are the faculties of the college. Most of the faculties are nice and the teaching in the labs is good. Although, you will be given a lot of written work, that's how our education system is in general.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties are really helpful and good at their work but some are only there to earn money. You should not get in a disagreement with the facilities there, you can get in trouble and especially because it's Autonomous. Most of the faculties will help you in a lot of things so overall it's a good college.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are actually good compared to the fee you are paying for the college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is just average but they are improving various facilities. Lecture rooms, corridors, labs are spacious and some instruments in labs are not up to the mark. The canteen and the cafe are decent as well.
 

Campus Rating
There are many clubs and different extra-curricular activities such as contests and events. Sports tournaments are decent with football matches, basketball tournaments and karate being conducted. In the evening, people have a good time with friends and socialise. I wish there were more places in Durgapur to explore.

    Overall Rating
    The overall experience is good. The labs are well-equipped and maintained and the faculty is quite helpful. All the professors are knowledgeable and helpful in academics and also other aspects. The college ground is well maintained and includes sports like football, cricket, basketball and sports facilities. Hostel is also available. The seniors are not arrogant and are quite helpful....
