BFIT Group of Institutions BBA Review By Kishan Singh

I am being a little critical but since I am writing an honest review, my overall rating for BFIT is 5 on 10. I have taken 1 number for the behavior of administrative staff. Forget about their communication skills which was anyways so pathetic but they literally used many intimidating tactics to make sure students stay under control. The reason we go to college is have some freedom but at BFIT, you can do anything but express yourself. One has to take the permission to go and talk to the director and if today you have asked for permission, if you are lucky you will get to meet with him in a week or you can keep asking. Admin department was so slow and never co-operated with students. I once lost my ID card and because of which I was not invited in the class and the reception miss took 2 weeks to get a new one and because of that I had to remain absent. Infrastructure wise, the institute gets 10 on 10 as that part gave many vow factors.

In BBA, which college has a mandatory rule of having 80% attendance. Well, at BFIT it has to be as they believe the students who will not attend the stupid classes will not pass. The reality is that assignments were given and classes meant submission or friendly talk but hardly any studies done. The professors would just keep churning the slide. We were promised many extra-curricular activities but only 20% of those happened. Nurturing of the students through academics was not done at BFIT and that will remain my main cause of concern.

Barring a few who had a fair bit of experience most of the faculty was new and some recent passed out. They were updated with the course but didn’t have the teaching methods that could help us understand the subject in detailing. In the prelims, they themselves asked the questions that came in finals. If this is faculty’s role then definitely 10 on 10 but if the institute wants to prevail a sense of competition in the classes, then this isn’t the way. Many considered them as their Gods as even with studying a few days before the exams, many students scored exceedingly well. All thanks to the brilliant faculty of the institute.

This is an epic section as if you need placements through campus which is anyways not guaranteed, you will pay an extra sum all semesters and plus the placement department fees for forwarding your CV. I knew even if I pay double the fees, I won’t be getting placed from here. So, as per the institute rules, those who don’t apply for placements through fees will not get any placements. Thus, I was never going to get placed and for those who paid extra fees also didn’t got placed. So only God knows who all they placed as they claim students of our college have been placed in this and that.

There are many boys and girl’s hostels inside the campus but hostel has gone old and many students even complained about the facilities over there. If there’s just one loop hole in the infrastructure that I can found at BFIT is the hostels. Luckily, I didn’t had to stay there as hostels are only for outsiders and mostly students from Punjab as they are the only ones from other states who come and study here.

I have already said wow for infrastructure and the reason is the campus had almost everything. There was a nice gym, a beautiful canteen, and both indoor and outdoor sporting facilities. Sports have also always been the institute’s top priority as they organize sporting competitions every Saturday. Every month there are tournaments both for staff and students. The campus also has a great medical facility as there’s a hospital inside the campus. Doctors are available 24*7 and any student of the institute can get themselves treated there. The auditorium was the greatest or rather the main highlight of the infrastructure as earlier it was a small one but they renovated it and has doubled the capacity.

If I leave out the admin part, the campus life was good. Competitions were held every month and because the institute has always promoted an unbiased religion free campus, you will see all the festivals being celebrated here with same enthusiasm. The college fest Rangreza was a two days event and on the first day of the event was a celebrity night as every year a couple of celebrities are invited to perform. The second day of the fest is for the students to perform. Sports have also been the top priority here so those who are into sports get enough chances to prove their sporting talent. It was the education part that has messed it up or else BFIT would have been a place to watch out for.
