When we talk about B-Schools in Gurgaon, MDI is definitely the best. All couldn't reach the best, so I was even happy with the second or third best in the city, IILM Institute of Business and Management. I don't know what IILM does differently from the other B-Schools, but one thing for sure is that you just need to be careful and be placed in some of the world's best companies. Both professional and personal development of students was done at the university. All the PGDM students were connected straight to the industry experts on various forums. This, the development was always rising because getting our queries solved from them was like seeking the help of our seniors at work. If I have to list a few reasons I chose IILM because it is located close to the rapid metro. All the opportunities hub was right next to the college, which made it more convenient. Last but not the least, before joining any B-School, like many others I also did a placement review. After doing that, I had no doubts left to join this college who were ready to welcome me as a student of their privileged organization.

The education was far behind the silos of Operations, Marketing, or Finance. We were taught every damn thing as the first year for all was common. The industry working is transforming, and so is the university's education and course structure. Digital was the way, and therefore our education was blended likewise as our subjects included Artificial Intelligence, Internet Things. Digital Disruption and BlockChain. All these things were a thing of future in 2019 but because the institute believes in staying ahead of the market, we were taught all these way in advance.

Faculties with past experience in teaching and experience in the core industries helped us understand the subjects better. What will be required from us, and how will we be solving them. These are the most common questions that any organizations ask before hiring us, and our faculties gave us 1000 answers for that, and this was the biggest help they could give us. One can befriend them easily as their infectious nature will propel you to have them around you for as long as you want.

The 2019 placement data was so strong that the institute had to increase its seats the following year. Average placement of our batch was 7 lakhs and highest was 16 lakhs. All the companies that institute managed to bring at the campus offered us a salary in the bracket of 6 to 10 lakhs. Well, the institute got on board some of the biggest brands of the world like Moody's, Brain & Company, ITC, Colgate-Palmolive, Amazon, Kotak Mahindra Bank, American Express, and many more. At the end it's up to the potential and the credential of the student to get placement.

The institute doesn't promote residential living but has plans for it in the future. There was just one girl's hostel inside the campus. The campus for the boy's hostel was off-campus with two hostel buildings. Here again, because I couldn't stay at the hostel, I have just an idea about its location and the food as my friends would always talk about, today we had this and evening we will be served this. So, the fees are charged heavily, but in return, the students are provided a nice room and edible food.

The institute is not as big as my UG university but the campus was rocking. Infrastructure was exemplary because of the serene beauty and modern amenities that it had. I will start off with the central lawn as we hopped there in every break. Even the afterhours were spent at those lawns so I have a lot of fond memories of that lawn. Now the classrooms which were again not just air-conditioned but each student has his own bench rather than those circular classes. The lounge, oh I am sorry the canteen just keeps forgetting that it was a canteen. It always had some nice music on, and the atmosphere inside it was no less than a lounge. Not much other than that to boast as a library, auditorium, and recreation rooms were average than what I have seen in my previous institute Starex University.

At the campus, we used to have many open house sessions. Those interactive sessions were such that we were not happy with them being organized monthly, and therefore it was changed to bi-weekly. Now comes the fests and events, in my previous university I showed no interest in them, and at IILM, the institute itself didn't show any interest. Some students were adamant about having it, so the college organized it.
