Alumni’s Experience at IPER Bhopal

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Institute of Professional Education and Research, Bhopal was satisfactory; I joined the institute in 2018 to pursue B.Com Honors. The reason I chose this institute was its close proximity to my home. It was one of the good institutes in Bhopal. If you are looking for Bachelors in Commerce, you should keep this institute in your list, especially if you're a local. I won't recommend it to someone who's not from here and is planning to travel and stay in Bhopal just for the Bachelors degree.
 

Academics Rating
For B.Com Honors, 12th board marks were considered. Also the cutoff was 60% as much as I remember. The admission process was quite smooth, eligibility is quite basic as one should have passed his/her higher secondary from any of the boards that are accepted in India, be it ICSE, CBSE or any state board.
 

Faculty Rating
What I felt for faculty is that some of the faculties were really experienced and quite knowledgeable in their subjects. The teaching pedagogy was at par as per the education in Bhopal. But, I found that a few faculty members were not that good and it felt quite difficult to understand some of the subjects. Apart from that more than 2/3rd of the education was in COVID era and hence was imparted through the online medium.
 

Placement Rating
In UG, yes there was a placement cell. Only handful of students did seek placements from the institute and they were placed in average companies at average roles with below par CTCs. Placements need to be improved.
 

Hostel Rating
No residential facility is provided by the institute.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The UG building of the institute was quite new, and new construction did happen after my graduation, to accommodate more students. The batch size did increase after my batch. The overall infrastructure was at par, or I would say quite well as compared to other institutes in Bhopal. Auditorium was equipped with comfortable chairs, AC, etc. Classrooms didn't have an AC, but desks and benches were of good quality. Every classroom had a projector for the slides. There was a basketball court as well (half size) and it was average. Other than these, infrastructure was quite satisfactory.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus vibe was good. Students and administration were really helpful in assisting. The atmosphere was pleasant and quite laid back. There was not much rush for studies, as compared to more prestigious institutes. The crowd was average in terms of accomplishments and knowledge. Yearly annual fest ‘Reflexion’ was organized with multiple games like football, basketball, and cricket. Activities like solo singing also were the part of it. There were clubs like sports, infrastructure, and placements too, which were voluntary.

  • One thing certain about IPER is it’s not a buck roger

    Not too many things that go in one’s head when they join Institute of Professional Education and Research Bhopal. One has to come to the college daily irrespective of whether lectures are there or not. For lay people to understand that difficulty level at IPER is high so join only if you are capable.     If Dehradun is called the quaint town of east then Bhopal is definitely the quaint town of central India. The college and universities like LNCT, MNIT, RKDF University, Rabindranath Tagore University, and Technocrats Group of Institutions among others have made Bhopal one of the best cities to pursue education.     If one needs quality education in Bhopal then, there’s no better place than IPER. Some ruckuses are there like the director of the Institute feels like IPER is as good as IIMs, but for that they will have to build an Institute like that and also has the students of the same quality. So, if I leave out the strictness part, IPER Bhopal is great. Once you enter the College means you have to stay there till 5 pm. You can’t leave the College in between and that was the worst part.
