An Honest Review from 2nd year B.Tech CSE student

Overall Rating
Mar Athanasius College of Engineering definitely lives upto its name with bustling extra-curricular, an excellent academic performance, and good amount of placements. The college has a sufficiently large campus set in the beautiful town of Kothamangalam. The weather is amazing and hostels are good as well. I have no regrets with where I am now.
 

Academics Rating
Students need to have passed class 12th and must have appeared for KEAM entrance examination to apply for this college. It has a high cut-off of around 2k rank in KEAM. The college offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA courses. The college just turned autonomous starting in 2024 and is government aided.
 

Faculty Rating
We have great faculty members who are very much concerned with performance of each student. They are active in class as well as available after college hours either online or in college itself to clear queries and help students out. Most of the teachers who have taught me have been excellent.
 

Placement Rating
From what I have seen and heard from my seniors, the college has good placements for almost every branch.
 

Hostel Rating
Mar Athanasius College of Engineering’s hostel is good and the food is good too. There have not been any huge complaints about either.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Every branch has its own block and their own labs spread out across the campus. We even have an excellent physics and chemistry lab for 1st year students' subjects. The labs are well equipped with the required machinery and equipment and lab staff are very helpful and cautious during lab periods as well.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is fun and bustling as students themselves conduct most of the events. There is several clubs like fashion, music, dance, and sports. These clubs hold their own events and practice sessions after college hours and conduct auditions every year. We have 2-college fests: one technical and one cultural every year. They are amazing and we often have professional performers performing during these.

    According to my personal experience, this is one of the best Engineering colleges in Kerala. The main attraction of our college is its infrastructure and beautiful campus. When I had cleared my entrance test, I am very confused about which college to choose, at that time I heard about this college and research more about it.     The main thing that attracted me is that this is a college is under Kerala Technological University which provides better facilities for electronics and communication branch. This is a government aided college, so the fee is also comparatively low. The admission process is mainly through an entrance test named KEAM.     This college is listed among the top 10 engineering colleges in Kerala. Since it is a govt-aided college the fees are also affordable. To say about the campus, it is very environmentally friendly, with lots of trees and greenery. The arts clubs in the college including dance, and music were the best ones. Also, technical clubs like IEEE, SAE, etc are some of the best ones under KTU. The library facilities are also really good.... Read Full Review

    I joined Mar Athanasius College of Engineering Kothamangalam in the year 2019. My branch is electronics and communication engineering. The reason I chose this branch is because of interest towards electronics and anything related to electronics. I had applied to many colleges after my 12th exam for engineering. I got selected in colleges like FISAT, MBITS etc. but what made me choose MACE is because its government college which means lesser fees and experienced teachers. They have very good infr...
