RVITM has a single huge building and the crowd is decent. The reason I joined this institute is its combined placements with the main campus (RVCE).

I thought EC would be fine because my stream in PUC was PCME (E for Electronics). However, to my shock ECE turned out to be very tough like my friends who were seniors told me. It has complex subjects, which need a lot of time and practice. First year was fine due to common subjects. I somehow have no backlogs because I can study for few days before exam and score decent marks. I have maintained a CPGA of 7.9 with 0 backlogs, which is decent for ECE branch in my opinion. The practical subjects are crazy, you need to study a lot to understand everything as a new topic has so many prerequisites. I think anyone can choose any branch and there is no such entry requirement for any branch. Interest should be considered as the main requirement. Anyone with a Science background in 11th and 12th can take B.Tech (ECE or any other branch). Choosing the branch and institute mainly depends on your CET or JEE rank.

All the teachers in RVITM have done B.Tech with PhD in something. Teaching wise, few are really good who take control of the class and make everyone listen while many of them need to bring changes in their teaching method. Some are good with their style of teaching and can make everyone understand the topics.

There is a placement cell at our institute and the placements usually start from 7th semester. People with backlogs are in big trouble but people without backlogs can sit for placements depending on the CGPA. I have heard mixed reviews of our placements. Some seniors have begged huge packages of 29 LPA, 28 LPA, etc. while many have mass recruitment. I feel like in order to get good placement, you have to be individually good with many skills required to sustain in the industry. Maintain good CGPA say above 8.5 and learn some extra courses and skills off campus, then you can easily get good placements from our institute. I am currently in 5th semester and looking forward to be placed in some company by 8th semester.

We do have a hostel, there is a building for boys and another for girls. My home is near the institute so I did not need any residential facility. However from what I have heard from my friends, the hostel is nice. I think it has good infrastructure and facilities. The food is also good (according to my hostel friends).

As I have mentioned before, we have a single building & a football and basketball court as our campus. There is enough space for parking our vehicles. Overall, the campus is small compared to other institutes. Its overall area is around 2 acres if I am not wrong. The classrooms are good and have smart TVs with two blackboards. The washrooms are neat and clean. The football and basketball courts are the best part according to me where everyone spends their leisure time. The canteen is fine with decent food and a lot of space to sit and eat in our lunch break. There are facilities for few indoor games like a badminton court, table tennis court, and a GYM. The GYM has enough equipment for hostlers to come and exploit.

The campus life in RVITM according to me is okay. There are many clubs and fests keep happening. We have a tech fest coming up next week called ‘Rob Fiesta’. There are many events that happen. ‘Sambhram’, our main event happens once in a year. The crowd like I said is okay, it was tough finding my kind of friends at the beginning. However, later I got along with many people and now college is fun only because of them.
