RVITM Bangalore Admission is via KCET Scores

Choosing RV Institute of Technology and Management, Bangalore was a dream come true. Coming from a small town, I had an aim to make an impact on my Career. It helped me in both personal and professional growth. I faced several challenges along the way but every challenge made me improve in every aspect. It is a place which everyone looks forward to join. It's full of opportunities and possibilities. It made me feel confident in myself.

I chose Information Science Engineering. I was interested in Technology and its uses in the real World. My motive was to build strong technical skills and prepare myself for roles in Data Analysis, Data Engineering, and Software Development. To join this program, we need to have a specific rank in KCET or COMEDK if we are from States other than Karnataka along with our 12th grade marks. Admission process was straightforward. After passing the eligibility criteria we are required to submit specified documents in the Institute and choose the preferred branch based on rank. Exams were conducted very frequently to keep us engaged. Apart from theory exams, we had regular lab exams, mini projects, assignments, etc.

For my course, the fee structure was divided year wise. Each year, I paid my fees at the beginning of year. Overall fee included admission charges, tuition, exam and lab fee & other academic-related expenses. The fees are based on the entrance exam, so if students are from KCET the fee is less for the people compared to the one in COMEDK.

The faculty members in my department have played a major role in both academic and Career guidance. Most of our Professors are highly qualified. Many of them worked in Research and worked in Software companies too. The teaching method is a blend of traditional and modern approach. They use PPTs, real World examples, interactive group sessions, and quiz. Each set of students has a respective counsellor to solve the problems and get feedback from students.

Coming to placements, RVITM Bangalore is the 2nd campus. Our placements were combined with 1st campus of RVCE. Packages were good but if a student gets an Internship, they can’t apply for any other offers. If the students do not get a confirmed Internship then they can sit for other offers.

RV Institute of Technology and Management, Bangalore offers residential facility, but I stayed in a PG so I don’t have much idea. I heard from my friends that it is good.

The campus is well structured. Each classroom has a digital screen. Our campus has a canteen, gym, first aid room, library, indoor games like table tennis, carrom board, well equipped labs, conference and seminar halls & an auditorium for events. The campus is small compared to some Institutes but it’s well equipped and maintained. Also we had a student interaction area where we used to write assignments, chit chat and all.

My overall campus life was good. We had many events. There are many clubs and I was part of the Robotics Club. They even organised some NGO activities. We even visited Government schools to educate students. It has been one of the most memorable journeys. Combination of every emotion. Institute crowd was less. Students come from different States and backgrounds. Overall it was rollercoaster ride. Helped me in every aspect. Be it the friendships I made, the events I participated and organised.
