I studied in this Institute as a B.E student. My major was Information Science and Engineering. It was quite difficult to get into the Institute I must say. The Institute has good professors and the study materials they provide is good. Their study materials do not waste your time and just by studying some of their PDFs, you can score really well in the external exams. Apart from exams, the college fest that RVITM Bangalore celebrates is fun; they get celebrities to the fest and the DJ. Something a college student would be craving for it right. However, it was worth and all my hardships were paid off once I was placed into a very good company. In addition, it is different from so many other institutions as it provides the exact student experience and so much exposure to how to deal in the real world. Once we leave college that is the only thing that matters and it teaches you that.

The motive that drove me was that you could earn really well in the technology area faster as the world is slowly leaning more towards technology. The entry requirements include passing 10th grade with 70% marks and appear in KCET or ComedK tests. It really depends each year but during my 2020 batch year, this was the rank that was going on. Admissions process of the Institute has steps like submitting your application with your 10th and 12th Grade mark sheets. As for the frequency of exams, every month, there will be internal exams of 50 marks, those marks will be counted in average, and they add those marks to your external exam marks.

I paid around 2,80,000/- per year. The admission and the registration fees I paid was Rs. 75,000/- to secure my spot. I am a General merit student so there was no discount for me. Yes, there are scholarships provided for students like sports and SC/ST quota.

The faculty members in RVITM Bangalore are really good at teaching and they make you think logically always. Most of the faculty members have done their Ph.Ds and they teach you how to deal in real-life challenges. Their method of teaching is mostly using presentations and GDs. The problem solving abilities are the best in the faculty members, they teach you in a way where you can remember it for a longer time as they give real world examples. The teacher to student ratio is good. The faculty members are quite busy most of the times with their busy schedules and you cannot just approach them whenever you got doubts about academics or the syllabus.

The placements are the best. Most of the top companies come in to hire you,. You can be an intern working in Japan company and that is just the beginning. The Placement Cell trains you on how you should attend interviews and how you should prepare your DSA and other knowledge too. In the placement activities for each branch there are two placement coordinators, these two coordinators create a placement group, they keep sending out the requirements for each of the companies, they are the ones that filter out the students and get good experience in organising the activities, and also it is good for the resume.

I am not really sure about the hostel, as I was staying with my parents. However, I did have some friends who stayed in the hostel & they told me that the rooms were decent enough and also the hostel food is good.

The campus academic blocks are really good and structured. It doesn’t confuse you when you are changing the classes for some elective subjects and the campus size is very big and its outside location is just wow for a student, if you are a foodie, you will love it. The classrooms are decent. There are two canteens, cricket ground, football ground, volleyball, basketball court, badminton courts, gyms, medical, transport, and security are available. My favorite was the canteen. The computer lab and also the library is the best academic experience I had.

My overall campus life was amazing. I have had the best student life out there, studying, playing, and fighting over small stuff. Yes, you will go through it all, because it is student life. The college crowd is just very talented, brilliant, and fashionable. There are many other small clubs like coding club, robotics club, fitness clubs, fashion club, dance team, etc.
