Positive Experience in IITK

Overall Rating
For me, IITK has been life changing. The campus itself feels like a mini city with greenery, modern facilities and a vibrant student community. The professors are not just knowledgeable but also appreciable, which makes learning here both challenging and enjoyable. I chose IIT Kanpur because of its strong reputation for academics, research opportunities and extracurricular opportunities.
 

Academics Rating
I chose my program because of the technical knowledge and practical applications. The motive was clear, to gain skills and exposure that could help me innovate and make a difference in the real world. IIT Kanpur’s academic environment combined with its world class facilities has been perfect for achieving the goal.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are very good and professional. They help us whenever we have doubts and are very kind. They also give us extra marks if we have attended all lectures of their subject. The faculties have done their master's from reputed institutes abroad and they are clearly intellectuals.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell in our institute, and they help a lot to select the companies to apply and also to get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the hostel life is very good, but the infrastructure is average. The environment is full of joy when all 600 students of your campus eat together in the same dining hall.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is old but well-maintained. The government invests a lot of money in our academic areas, libraries and other education places.
 

Campus Rating
The college life here is very good. You get to enjoy many fests with your friends. It’s like a Home away from Home. The Fest organized here is huge and many reputed celebrities are also invited for the fests. Proms are also held and it's very good.

    Actually, I didn't have many expectations from IIT Kanpur but when I came here, it totally proved me wrong. My home is too far from here but still I chose this institute. This institute gives us freedom more than we expect. Here, we can have nice interaction with seniors as they are so friendly. They always feel friendly.     My overall experience at Institution started from the year 2023, I just had entered the Institution with large dream after clearing JEE Advanced. I started to explore Institution, it had a very great infra and also had great connections globally, partly that was one of the reason why I chose IIT Kanpur.
