Academics at 'DBS' is not only limited to books. Being in the top 50 business Colleges, DBS has those things which are required to shape a responsible student. According to me, nothing is easy; so do the course. Without putting effort into it, you won't see colors of success. DBS honors not just the academic abilities of a student but also his presence of mind and thoughtfulness. There were many times that we used to have some deep conversations about life on the campus of DBS. The campus of DBS is not flashy and glamorous, but still, there are many memories related to that small campus. Sometimes a couple of faculties also used to join. DBS is popular for the placements it provides. The placement rate in recent years has reached a different level. Infinite opportunities provided by College itself for students to flourish their skills.

DBS has followed practical-based learning so far. It makes one more aware of the environment and the work that they are doing. The PGDM course is divided into 4 semesters and each semester has enough time for practicals, projects and theory lectures. Business school books are gigantic. It will be brutal for one to study the whole book; instead, we were advised by the teachers to focus more on practicals so that we could apply them whenever needed and not depend on books.

DBS has the most hardworking and attentive faculties. Most of the staff comes from IIM and they try to maintain the same environment in DBS too. Those faculties who are PhD degree holders also guide juniors to complete their PG. If you have doubts or need some help with a project, they are ready to help whenever you need. Teaching is the passion of most of the faculties. You won't see anyone making ridiculous excuses for lame teaching. They are born with that skill. I used to get a lot of doubts during my project, but our mentors tried to solve them without any hesitation. That's what makes good memories of students.

Some students get placement in companies and some go for startups. Students seem to prefer startups over placement because of the freedom of idea and creativity heights they can reach in a business. Also, faculties prepare students for placement interviews and all. Students' internal marks according to their performance, also matters in placement as the data is sent to companies based on which they select students. Students can opt for that process or interviews for the placement process. Interviews over internal marks are favored by almost all students.

I always wanted to stay in a hostel as I didn't get a chance till I took admission in DBS. It's pretty easy to get a room in the DBS hostel as there are very few who stay there. Some students are natives, while some choose to stay in rooms as outsiders. Hostel building is inside the campus of DBS. There are strict rules for outsiders as the timing of visiting is before 8 pm. After 8 pm neither outsider can stay in the hostel or hostelites can't stay outside. If someone breaks the rules, he/she is punished according to their act. Hostel has its own mess and the food is good.

Infrastructure is quite average as DBS Infrastructure lags behind in many things. Campus has a nice playground with separate parking areas for students and teachers as well. DBS has an auditorium where all the events and fests are arranged. There are two buildings of the College in which the old building is for management students and the new building is for undergraduate students. DBS takes no special interest in sports as there are no proper indoor and outdoor gaming facilities available. College has a basketball court only for students to play. The canteen area looks very good only if they had more space for students.

Campus life at DBS is fun and all until you are a management student because we don't get as much time as other faculty students. We rush from one class to another taking coffee or tea breaks in a hurry. But there are annual events, farewell or fresher's parties that are enjoyed without any guilt. Many times the College has invited celebrities to the annual festivals. It is mostly in events that juniors and seniors interact more like friends than junior-senior. The annual fests improve the bond between all students and add fun to their boring life.
