NIT-R in Few Words

Overall Rating
Firstly, it is one of the renowned institutes of my state, having a good background in CSE among the people of our state. It has great facilities for students. Others can go for a life loving experience here. It has green campus, high end facilities for students which overall shapes a student.
 

Academics Rating
You can enroll in NIT-R via JEE Mains with a descent percentile of 99 or above. B. Tech. course here takes up to 4 years or 8 semesters with various subjects to ensure a best output. These 4 years will be filled with knowledge and enjoyment if someone manages to live in between them. It is a great place to be explored.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties are senior in age. There are some new faculties but very few in numbers. They come from a descent background like IIT or any renowned institute and are very good rank holders of their time. The new professors somehow make the class engaging by more interaction. However, the teaching skill of each other of them is appreciable.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell in NIT-R. As far as I have heard, many students are grateful to a cell that opened a gate to their new journey. It connects with various industries and companies. Some of the top level companies are also there. Students really do well to get placements from here.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostel facilities here. Hostel life is very cheering. Among 1000 students, you will forget all your worries and express yourself with the better version of yourself. The hostel comes with 4 floors, ground to 3rd. It includes common GYM, music room, reading room, TV room and games arena. Some of the games are chess, carom, table tennis, badminton, and volleyball that are available for students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Overall, NIT-R has a beautiful campus that is filled with greenery. It has two ponds and is surrounded by mountains from one side. Academic blocks will give you a vintage vibe. They have old designs. Almost every building follows the same pattern, but some made it look modern. It provides canteen facilities almost in every block. Library contains a reading room adjacent to it. Alongside library, there is counseling service block to conduct smooth flow of student throughout these 4 years. There is also a swimming pool in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
As there are plenty of courses, you will see huge crowd of students roaming around the campus via cycle for smooth navigation. We have fests like ‘Innovision’ the tech fest, ‘Cosmo’ the multi ethnic fest, ‘Vriddhi’, the sports fest, Nitrutshav, and celebrity night and you will definitely enjoy these. It has clubs like Cyborg for robotics, Axiom for Math, APS for coding, Synergy and Mavericks for dance, Euphony the rock band, Heart Beats the music band. There sports club for every sports.

    In an overall view, my institute, NIT Rourkela, is a perfect university with an area of 1,200 acres including many more splendid scenic views and amazing water bodies.     NIT Rourkela has a very old campus as it is about 50 years old but still the infrastructure is so good. It has the best library in the Rourkela; we can have a lot of stuff like books and research articles. In a year I explored everything in the campus and I like to play cricket here....     I study in NIT Rourkela. I started my journey in 2024. It is an amazing experience for me. The environment and the campus area are too good.     Our institute named National Institute of Technology, Rourkela is one of the best institutes, which I have come across until now. It has NIRF ranking 02 in India among the list of NITs.
