Academically inclined University

Overall Rating
The university provides students with the best campus life possible. Compared to the other Autonomous universities, the infrastructure of VIT is awesome. The positive sides of the university include infrastructure, facilities, faculties, campus life, etc. Some which need to be improved are the hostel mess.
 

Academics Rating
The academics are greatly prioritised here in VIT and being an Autonomous university, the curriculum is set by them which surely impresses a person who would love to expand their skills sets across various fields. The labs have the most advanced and top end machineries with super computers which make our way of learning easier. The classes are taken through PPTs which are mailed to every student by the faculties so preparing for the exams is much easier.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties in VIT are Ph.D holders, so to simply put it, the knowledge they hold about the subject is spectacular and their kind nature of guiding the students and assisting them in the right way whenever the student is in need is a great positive aspect. Also, from the second semester the students get to choose the faculty who they'd want to be taught by.
 

Placement Rating
As a fresher, I'm unaware of the placement details but as far as I know, the average salary package would be around 9 LPA to 10 LPA and there are top recruiters offering dream packages of 50 LPA above.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are great but when we consider the factor 'value for money' that's where it has certain drawbacks. The comfort, furniture, and size of the room provided by the university is not up to the mark compared to what we are paying for it. The mess food is average and the fee for it, is to be paid separately which is like 80% of the hostel fee. There's a gymnasium in every hostel block and the student needs to pay an extra fee for it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the university is great. There are 3 academic blocks with almost 50+ different labs with good machinery and computers. The classrooms are equipped with projectors to focus on the studies and the library is also good, it functions till 12:00 AM in the midnight and filled with almost all the books that a student would ever want for these four years.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is above average. It's quite balanced to make us not miss the outside world. There are many shops and franchisees of different restaurants inside the campus and also there are good spots to gather with friends and relax. The campus has at least 2 or 3 events everyday by various clubs and there are 190+ clubs in the university with students who are interested in various different fields.

    My experience in VIT Chennai is good till now. They have strict rules but it is for your own good. It doesn’t matter how strict they are but the facility and staff is up to the mark.     My overall experience in VIT University, Chennai is good. It is reputed University to choose for your degree. They offer many programs like MBA, BBA, Law, Fashion and M.Tech which increases the options for students to apply for different courses. It has good connections if you're planning to study abroad for masters or any exchange programs.     VIT University has strong placement records, well-experienced faculty, etc. I have chosen this university because it has best record placements. Infrastructure of hostel is well mentioned. Teachers are very friendly. It is best university regarding education and enjoy at the same time.
